A local shooter shoots one and does well with it. He uses the detachable mags. Reloading is a disadvantage, but he beats many shooters with their ARs!
You gotta respect a guy who does more with less . . .
+1 Bigbadaboom!!
I hope S&W doesn't follow SA's lead in this area!
I like the M&P, but until then, I'll stick with a Glock
Although, if Rich started doing trigger jobs on the M&P, I would be tempeted . . .
S&W - like SA - says that it will sell "parts"- - but has a list of parts that are "controlled" (i.e., not for sale).
I hope that Ernest L. and Julie G. will influence S&W's parts policy to be friendly to the competitive shooter.
However, as Rich points out, competitive shooters are a small percentage of the firearms market.
I haven’t overcome inconsistency yet, but working on it. Here’re my 2 cents.
1. You must understand what type of sight picture you need to see on each target in a stage – then EXECUTE IT.
2. Don’t shoot with your ego. I can’t remember the title of the book, but it’s a book on golf. It’s been discuss here at length – Eric N started the thread, I believe. One of the main topics of the book was to play with a goal of mastery of your own game – don’t play with your ego. Shooting with your ego will lead to violation of #1 above – which will lead to crashes. This advice is easier said then done but – at the same time – only requires a simple mental shift.
I believe it was a Glockmeister spring. Yes - the engagment hole was drilled higher. All my Glock are set up that way.
I've also noticed chipped striker tips, but this one would not reliably ignite the primers. Costly in a match
