  1. Thanks Eric. So is it a better mousetrap in some ways than a USGI mag with a Magpul follower? Also, if I order some from Brwonells now, would they be the latest and greatest? Thx.
  2. What's the latest on these mags? Are the early production bugs now fixed. Are they a better mousetrap than than USGI with a Magpul follower? Thx.
  3. So pistols can be heard from miles around or was that just a figure of speach?
  4. OK – I know it’s a hard question to answer and it really depends on many variables, but here it is. My wife wants to get some land for horses (a/k/a poop factories). I’ll only sign up if I have enough land to walk out the back door and shoot without pissing off the neighbors. So assume the neighbors would call the cops each time they heard an IPSC shooter practicing. How much land do you need to shoot and not piss off the neighbors? I’m just talking about a 25 yard pistol pit. Is there any type of sound barrier you can build and that are effective without costing a fortunes? Thanks.

    G22 For Limited?

I made M in LTD shooting a G22. I now shoot a G35 (although I'm taking 2007 off from shooting), but only because it's easier to make Major with it than the G22. I actually like the G22 better. I like the shorter slide and shorter sight radius. YMMV.
  6. I've had an AA conversion for the G17 for a couple years. It's worked well and fun to shoot. Great for kids. It also takes any aftermarket sights, so you can get the same sight picture. The only issue I had was with ammo. Some cheap Rem thunderbolts leaded the barrel terribly. Use decent ammo.
  7. See attached. I got the off this site a while back.
  8. What rear do you run with the 112T? Thx.
  9. Sevigney and Warren have Trit models.
  10. Do you shoot it single action at all? If not, cut the spur off.
  11. I use the stock striker spring with no more than 2 coils cut. 100% reliable. I will slightly lighten the striker on the "sear" area by Demeling off the corners.

    Ccf Raceframe

Thanks Joe. I plug those #s into the Brownells web site and nothing comes up - weird.

    Ccf Raceframe

Joe - I have a gift certificate to Brownells, but I can't find the Caspian Glock slide there. I've searched the on-line catalog and the hard copy I have. Can you point me in the right direction? Thanks!

    Ccf Raceframe

I resemble that comment! Actually, the frame involved in the "incident" is still in service and running fine. The slide and barrel on the other hand . . .

    Ccf Raceframe

That's correct. You would also need a striker, extractor, etc, unless the Caspian comes with all internal parts. Does it Joe? If not, you may be better off $-wise, to get a used Glock of your choice and sell the frame. I'll buy the fame for the right price
  16. Yep - that's actually an AirLite (scandium) not AirWeight (aluminum). Either way, I'm sure his hand hurt!
  17. Yes - a steel framed J would be better then an Airweight. The very first shot I took with my M37 was with some Fiochi (SP?) ammo. It was hot as hell and my thumb hit the razor-sharp side of the cylinder release. It cut me almost to the bone After I stopped bleeding, I shot some 158 grain LHP +p ammo. It was much milder than that Fiochi ammo. I took the M37 home and rounded the edges of the cylinder latch I really enjoy shooting it, but rarely shoot much more than 50 rounds out of it at any range trip.
  18. A few years back I heard about a gun club (can’t remember which one) that had a snubby-only match. At the time, I thought – “how boring.” Now that I have a snubby, I think it would be a blast. Anyone ever shot a match like that? Here’s some suggested rules:  Standard USPSA scoring (or maybe a time plus method to keep scoring and results simple)  Only 5 shots per cylinder (to keep the 6 round snubbies from dominating),  2.5” barrel max length,  20 round max round count per stage,  Most targets under 10 yards. What cha think? Fun or silly?

    J-frame Help

I beveled the sharp edges on the face and rear of the trigger. It helped a lot and I don't seem to get a blister on my trigger finger anymore. Thanks for the suggestions.

    J-frame Help

BTW - will excessive dry fire hurt an Airweight J Frame? Are snap caps recommended?
  22. Thanks Merlin. Do you know if it allows you to save pics to a smaller size so you can upload them to the internet? Thx.
  23. What's a good digital pic application for XP? I'd like one that has similar functionality to Mac iPhoto. Thanks.
