    J-frame Help

Thanks for the replies. RGS - I've already been grinding on my serrated trigger, so you don't want it. BTW - We have Corgi too.
  3. I really enjoy shooting my old M37. Two things I'd like to change: 1. Trigger - when dry firing, I always get a blood blister on my trigger finger. I think it's caused by pinching it between the back of the trigger and the frame. A trigger stop would solve it. Anything I can do? 2. Trigger Pull - My DA trigger pull is very smooth, but heavy. I have all stock springs etc. It's a SD piece, so I don't want to get anywhere near light strikes. I know that Wolf makes some reduced hammer springs. What's reliable and recommended by the revo experts? Thanks!
  4. Resurecting an old thread for more responses. Thanks.
  5. That's awesome BTW! I've never handled a 617, but it LOOKS like way too much gun/weight for a .22lr and for overall balance. What do you think? I see yours has a 4" barrel. I usually see thme in 6".
  6. Are the Dan Wesson .22lr revolvers any good? I've seen one that comes with a 8.5 and 2.5 inch barrels that interchange. I'm not sure ofthe model #.
  7. Thanks for the replies. So is the S&W 34 or 63 not as good as the larger 617? What is the approx wieght of a DA trigger pull on a S&W .22lr revo? Thanks.
  8. I'd like to pick up a small framed (J-frame or similar) revolver to use for me and my kids to plink with. I had a Taurus M94 and hated it. Terrible trigger, etc. How are the S&W 34 or 63? I've heard they can also have very tight chambers and have a tough trigger pull too. Any advice appreciated.
  9. One more in Open: Open 1. Chris Tilley 2. KC Eusebio 3. Max Michel 4. Matt Burkett 5. Nicolas Blum 6. Chris Patty (1st Master) Congrats Chris!
  10. The standard sight competition sight I spec out is .100 wide that extra 42% wider is huge, especially at distance (ie plate rack at 25-40 yards.) Very true. I just mic'ed a Merprolite and it came out to .160 The thinest night site I've seen was an Ameriglow at .125. I'm looking to put these on my G23 - which is my house/CWP gun. I still like to see light bars around the front sight though.
  11. Thanks for the replies. Any of you guys with the TFO's have a pic on your gun from the shooter's view Thanks!
  12. These looked interesting, but I've never seen them: TFO "Patented, T.F.O. technology combines the brightness of fiber optics with the glowing properties of long-lasting tritium. Provides fast sight acquisition and excellent transition from daylight to darkness with highly visible, green, T.F.O. rods. Machined channels in front and rear sight housings provide maximum, ambient light gathering and protect the rods from damage while concealing them from your target. " Anyone tried them?
  13. John - the company is lucky to have you.
  14. I'm looking for a 9mm conversion barrel for Glock 23. Lone Wolf makes them, but only seems to have them in threaded or ported models. Storm Lake makes one that's factory length. Anyone had good/bad luck with a Glock 9mm conversion barrel? Thanks.
  15. That's good to hear. It's not that shooting isn't fun - it's still fun. It's just that I have other hobbies that compete for my time. Right now, I'd rather play with my kids and pursue other hobbies. I may change my mind tomorow, but I've decided to take some time off right now. How much time is "to be determined." Thanks for the comments.
  16. It's not a source of stress. I enjoy it. I just don't have much of a desire to practice or go to matches right now for whatever reason.
  17. I joined USPSA at the end of 2001 but didn’t start competing in earnest until 2003, so I’ve been competing for about four years now. At this point, I really don’t have the desire to practice or dry fire much. I go to about one match a month. I’m seriously considering taking 2007 off. The only thing that keeps me from taking a complete break is seeing my friends. There are a lot of good people that shoot the sport in my area and I only see them at matches. I’d hate not to see them for a year. I’m not sure what to do.
  18. I like Eric's tape for competition guns. I do still like A-Grip for carry guns (if that matters). Sandpaper grips next to the skin in an IWB holster is not fun.
