  1. I agree, I loved the first one. Even with Cruise. The second a stinker. I don't think the Rock is really Reacher either. I have been trying to come up with who fits the role. Young Fred Dryer maybe.
  2. Bushnell TRS25 for the budget option. I took the irons off as the view seemed cluttered.
  3. I bough a spare slide. I would hate to blemish my beloved SP01!
  4. I saw CZ custom just added a mounting plate system for optic cuts on the SP01 including a rear sight plate. Of course I just sent a slide off for the multi-optic cut...
  5. I would have to say a 7# worked trigger on the CZ is nothing to fear. It is very smooth and requires only minor effort to keep it on target.
  6. You need to trade me that Edge for my Tanfo open gun! ?
  7. Bladetech pouches for the FNH 45 work also.
  8. I am sure you can find a used front sight and file off the blade.
  9. Easiest image I could find. I would aim slightly lower.
  10. Recently we had an experienced shooter running the tablet, but inexperienced at running the tablet. He had some difficulty with polarized glasses etc. I placed pretty well overall for the match but had 11-M's when I reviewed Practiscore later that day. I mentioned the 11-M in casual conversation to other shooters and they said "oh when XXX was running the tablet?" It is worth looking.
  11. Math wise, your deviation would be consistent with all shots aimed to the center.
  12. Reading this post I did a few measurements. The top line is the center of the A, the bottom is center of the target. After doing this I realized my subconscious aiming point has been the lower line. I need to relearn my sight picture.
  13. For the older crowd it helps eyes picking up the front sight. I think I shoot a little better with a black sight only because I have to concentrate harder, when I can see it. I prefer red over green, but the fibers are cheap to switch back and forth.
  14. I finally mounted a RMR and it shoots pretty well at speed, I will have to try it in a match now.
  15. Of course it was easier to do on a Glock plus 2 than a $40 base pad but I ran the mill across the bottom to fit. I am not sure if it remains legal with the step but I have never shot the gun in a match where it was gauged.
  16. The 18 round mag requires the CZ custom "short" base pad, the "long" is for the 16 round mags. The rest seem to use the Mec Gar 17 rounders as the host. I have Taylor Freelance pads on Mec Gars, they fit the gauge.
  17. I would part with my Para 40 for $700, no mags.
  18. I am a Para fan. I own several. That being said, Remington R1 Limited is available now which is a high cap 1911. It should be a series 80 gun. Running at just over 1K on Gunbroker presently. The RIA is a good value at about $700. Mags will be expensive but the Remington option may change that. Just food for thought. Just saw this:
  19. "Also most people invest some time, money or both into their RIAs to get them up to their standards." That is one of the reasons to buy one, the tinkering. I may lose 20% on the gun but for a sport where you launch $100's into the berm monthly, is that really an issue?
