Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Yup, ran about 80 rounds of the 115gr blazer aluminum through it. 100% so far
  2. Are these the pads that fit the RP9 mags? https://dawsonprecision.com/extended-baseplates-for-para-hicap-by-dawson-precision/
  3. Lots of good info guys, thanks. I'm really liking the Para, not sure why I didn't try a double stack 1911 until now.
  4. I recently got a P18.9 Pro Custom in 9mm and quickly started to source extra mags. As I was working on a order with one of my distributors, I noticed they had a Remington mag that fits their "new" double stack 1911 in 9mm. I'm pretty sure the frame of that "Remington" 1911 is from Para since they bought them, both guns look the same. Long story short, I added a mag to my cart just for s&g. It fits great, locks the slide back and drops free. I have not ran any rounds through it yet but will soon. The mag is an exact copy of my factory Para mags but with holes cut out on the rear to show each 1-19 rounds. The Remington part # is 17794, here is a link that I found on the net to show pics since my PB account isn't working. http://www.centerfireguns.com/remington-1911-match-9mm-mag-bl-18rd-17794.html
  5. Thanks, I'm going to go with the Para as it looks to be in mint condition. If it doesn't work out, can sell it and keep shooting the M&P. It will be used for steel challenge type shoots, what would you recommend as the first mods? Trigger?
  6. I've found one for $900. While I'd rather not support freedom group in any way, might have to try one of their mags.
  7. That is what I figured, found 2 more for $900-950.
  8. I've been shooting a M&P Pro 5" with an Apex trigger kit, gun is fast and accurate. I borrowed a friends RIA double stack 9mm and like the feel and how it shoots. I'd like to have a STI Edge and can get one for $1750 but only comes with one mag. I figured I could get into the game a little cheaper with a Para and found a very clean P18.9 pro custom(ion bond finish) with 2 mags for $1425. I offered $1200 and still think that is a little high. What do you think as the P18.9 as a starter gun? This would be a big change for me going to a 1911 style pistol. Thanks
  9. Lancer tubes are in, my dad has one on his 1301 Cool deal, hopefully they are open tomorrow as I need one quick.
  10. That is fine if so, just trying to figure out how to sign up for when another one comes open.
  11. Charles, I've had a few friends say that when registration opens on Monday that there will be a banner(used as a hot link for registration)across the home page(tarheel3gun.com), I need to be online, logged in and then register as quickly as possible? Thanks
  12. No clear answer here but if the gun must look "stock" for tac ops, the Apex trigger is a dead give away. If it is a big NO, why not run the Apex comp enhancement kit? I got one of these in mine and with some different stock springs added, it makes a M&P really sweet. Don't get me wrong, the Apex trigger is really nice but if it puts you into another class, I'd leave it out.
  13. Just got a 1301 24" myself and must say I love it so far, even with 1-1/8 loads it shoots soft and fast. Plan to use it in tac ops. I sent Lancer a msg asking if they have their carbon fiber tubes ready for these yet, if I don't hear from them after Shot is over, think I will try a RCI tube.
