  1. RVB, when your Elite II finally cracks a frame, just grab a 90Two frame and throw the Elite II top end on it.
  2. I bet he's hungover right now..............
  3. well done dude! looking forward to some vids from the match.
  4. IPSC wouldn't unless you could get Tanfoglio to stock it as a factory part (which I wish they would do with your sear and other parts, sigh).
  5. curious if the Speedsec will work on the CR belt mounts? I like my Guga for my Stock II, but find it needs adjusting monthly.
  6. all my blued mags are cracking up by the feedlips. Tanfoglio was supposed to be sending new ones to my dealer (Freedom Ventures in Canada). but they haven't seen or heard anything. I've sent a bunch of emails to Tanfoglio about this and haven't heard back. First email was sent in November after the WS. They told me I'd be getting new chromed mags, with the dimple on each side of the lip, to replace all my blue tubes.
  7. thank you so much. will be trying this out this weekend.
  8. anyone know how to use the CED timer to do this drill?
  9. it's just the outer portion of the casting, really not a big deal. But I'll give them a call on Monday.
  10. so I was loading the other night and noticed the powder measure slide wasn't returning back all the way (200 rounds had to be pulled). the bolt that the slide actuator rotates on had become rather crudded up, and was very rough and rocky. As well the hole in the measure casting is worn out of round about 1/8 of an inch in. a quick tear down and cleaning and it was back to good. never seen this before. and to be honest it's a spot I never really thought would need any cleaning. don't know where the powder is coming from that got in there. Also the little plastic thing on the top of the casting that keeps the spacer above the slide in place keeps popping up, not out, but almost. Anyone have a cure for that?
  11. our range purchased one of the blue plastic things (a lot more money than the above, I think it was around $700 US). works really well on cement and grass. Obviously not gravel, and it doesn't grab .22 cases either.
  12. put me down for grip screws and hammer and sear pins
  13. any news on the new rear sight? just bill me when you've got them ready dude!
  14. well here's an opportunity for one of the manufacturers to "go green" and offer a recycling service for them like printer cartridges. we mail 'em back and they re-use them.
  15. OK we took the Dillon apart tonight. looking at the way the motor is mounted and how it's vented, it sends the hot air straight up into the cone in the center of the tumbler. We put 1/4 thick nuts between the motor and the motor mounting plate, then we put a piece of thick plastic over the hole in the mounting plate that allowed the hot air to go up the inside of tumbler. Now when it's running the hot air vents out to the side above the motor, and doesn't go up the tumbler. Much much better. the media stays cool, and the motor is now better vented, as before it only had about 1/8th of an inch of gap for the air to go through.
  16. I've tried tumbling one case, in brand new media, to 500 cases. doesn't make any difference. even running empty the media gets warm. I got this tumbler from a friend who's dad got out of reloading. I have no idea it's age, or how much he used it. my old Midway tumbler has been running since about 1998 or so? often for days on end. Everynow and then I WD40 the crap out of it, then blow it dry. start it back up and it runs like new. I've been thinking I should get the motor checked out. Maybe it needs to be replaced.
  17. so I've been desperately trying to get my Dillon tumbler to work as good as my Midway ones. using the same media and polishing compound in all three tumblers (1 Dillon, 1 old Midway, and 1 new Frankford Arsenal), I find the Dillon heats up the media and drys out the polishing compound. resulting in a dull case, fairly clean, but not shiny like I like them. the other two tumblers, on for the same time produce bright shiny clean cases, with cool media. I've been thinking about drilling some holes in the sidewalls of the Dillon base, to help vent heat from the motor, anyone else done this?
  18. I posted my review on this about 2 years ago I think? I love mine and have retrofitted my old RCBS puller with the same setup. I prefer the Q brand one with the metal handle though. from what I understand they manufacture for the other companies.
  19. I've had a 5 since just before the IPSC World Shoot. No experience with 3g and not even sure it's supported yet. ArchosFans is the forum to go to and get info. I love mine for watching movies and TV shows I download or copy, I have the DVR station but never use it other than for playing stuff from my A5 on my TV. the HDMI output is nice for that. Archos are a bit slow with updates. I find the WiFi not bad, but for some reason in my house my Wifi sucks. not sure what they put in the walls, but I pick up my neighbours old router better than the 6 different ones I've tried. I'm on my second A5 too by the way, my last one blew it's speaker. That's probably my biggest complaint, the speaker sucks and the output level for headphones has to meet Euro guidelines, which are like whispers compared to a regular MP3 player. A nice little amp off of Ebay will fix that for you.
  20. Thanks a ton Henning, the new front sight is working out awesome. so much brighter and easier to pick up than the factory one. I was doing drills on our indoor range tonight and even in the dim lighting it was nice and bright.
  21. stick a length of rubber surgical tubing, or similar, on the cut 223 case, and run it into an platic bottle. cut the lid of the bottle in an "X" pattern like the top of a McDonalds pop cup lid, slide the hose through that, and just watch for it to fill up. I have mine sitting under my bench about 3 ft from my press.
  22. yeah my vote is for Henning Sight too. just need to develop a cool logo now dude.
