  1. is the small frame base pad deeper than the factory too? interior wise that is? and how thick is the mag between the groove and the top edge? (does that makes sense?). If they are deeper than factory I'll have to cut new rods for the followers so I'm not over 10 rounds here in Canada.
  2. looks like these pads should be a go now dude. Any chance you could post the thickness of the part above the slot in the basepad? I'm hoping you make it so the pad impacts on the frame when the mag is inserted, so it's not the mag catch or the under side of the slide that stops the mag from going in any further.
  3. I see what you're saying, the stroke movement puts for and aft stress on the shaft, if it was a scissor type, or actuated off of the original arm of the 650 it would be an equal stress situation.
  4. So I got the tumbler last week (I think that was it). Brand new tumbler, not just the motor. Wow. I took it downstairs, hooked it up, and started cleaning. works great. I then took the motor out of my older Midway tumbler (the style with a column in the center) and put that in the body of the other Frankford Arsenal. Exactly the same mounting holes, and it took about 15 minutes to do. Now I've got two of the better designed bowls humming away down there. The older Midway tumbler had holes in both the bowls I had for it, around that center column, and leaked dust all the time. These new bowls won't do that. Very impressed with F.A.s service. will happily buy from them again.
  5. Need pictures of that room! Looks like a killer setup in there
  6. hope you guys didn't get affected by the quake.
  7. hope you guys had fun. San Fran is a neat city.
  8. how dare you take time away for yourself! but seriously, whatcha doin in San Fran?
  9. how long before you start making frames dude?
  10. I just saw one of those a little while ago, for the first time. not automated, but it looked like it would be easy to do. So thanks for the video, that's awesome. My friends is setup so that he just rotates his Dillon case feeder 180 degrees from his press and it feeds the CP. I'd never even heard of them before that.
  11. phoning Sean tomorrow. Man I wish it was easy to get our guns down to you or Rich. we don't really have any Tanfo specialists up here.
  12. whoa whoa, I CAN get a .22 conversion for my Stock II???????????????????????????????????? that would freakin rock!
  13. now if they just made that with a full length dust cover!
  14. Hope you all got your Henning custom parts!!!!!
  15. The only thing that really annoys me is the short power cord, if I'm not careful when I turn off the tumbler, the cord will sit just right, but then drop a bit, and the switch hits the floor and turns on the tumbler. I'll be putting a longer cord on what ever I get. if you have the number for the Acklands Grainger product could you post it? none of the electrical shops I went to could even guess where to begin looking for something like the one I have, with the mounts and everything.
  16. I've had to repack bearings on my other Midway tumbler a few times. Also flush it out with WD40 and air works good too. Tried all that with this motor, but it was cooked. I don't think being jammed, on, for a few days was what was intended for it in the design process. It would be cool to be able to find these motors online somewhere though. I took mine to a few shops and just got some weird looks.
  17. Not sure if its a tumbler or just a motor. Didn't pay a dime. They knew they had some issues with motors. So its a warranty replacement. Awesome service from Frankford Arsenal. Thumbs up!
  18. Wow. You're dead on. Emailed this morning, already got a new one on the way.
  19. be careful putting too much weight on the primer follower rod. I've heard from a few people about detonating their tubes, and they figure that was the cause. One was a friend of mine who dumped in his primers, and then dropped the rod on top. Boooooom!.
  20. So I left on my tumblers on while I was away for a few days (I think the switch triggered when it hit the floor after I walked out). The weight came loose, and jammed the motor. So for 4 days it sat there, overheating. Luckily no fire, but I'm buying timers for my tumblers now! Anyhow the motor is cooked, completely. I've tried phoning Midway, but can't even get through to their message center, as I'm calling from Canada. Anyone have any ideas?
  21. just make one that works for DA, and makes the SA in the Stock II's as nice as possible. Then I'll fly over to Italy and personally drop 100 off at the factory with a request that they finally stock your parts as "factory option" parts. (ok I can't really afford to do any of that, but it's the though that counts right?) if you make the profile the same as factory, and then just don't do the cool cuts to a few, I'm sure a number of PD shooters will snap them up. Basically just ignore a machining step.
  22. that post is useless without pics! lets see the difference dude. and see you in Montreal I guess eh? I'll be sharing with Rob Elliot again most likely, but we could always see if there is a 3 bed room?
  23. I had to use my vacuum with magnets inside the tube to find mine after it launched one time. I'll be ordering a couple spares when I place my next order with you.
  24. where does it say Stock II? I wish they'd toss the scroll script and go with a better text. I must say the blue/black is nice looking. I wonder how that frame would look with the stainless top end on it? I'm right handed too, but I hate having safeties on my handguns, moving it to the left side would keep it from interfering with my grip, but still usable if need be.
  25. I would prefer a right side only safety, if such a thing could exist. Maybe a flush plate on the left or slightly contoured or something. I'm going to order the stainless hammer from Sean. Also see if he's got stainless sears. Pics dude pics!
