  1. my 45 barrels.......just run, run, run. I've only been using Ball ammo......but pretty much have had zero issues for the past two summers. I've only had two issues......had a blown aluminum case (don't use aluminum anymore) and I've had springs wearing out prematurely. but not since going to the the dreaded ETS mags.....and that is really only half true, I don't really use ETS mags, just the springs in my SRM magazines. I've had zero issues with glock factory mags.
  2. So I own TACCOM.......but I will try to give an honest assessment. Top 3 recoil systems out there......TACCOM 3 stage adjustable, MBX 2 Stage, Blitzkrieg/kynshot We've compared them in house here......and to be honest, we've pretty much all agreed that it's crap shoot to actually say that one is heads and shoulders better than the other 2 as far as performance goes. They were just all that close and one over the over is not going to make the difference between winning and loosing. I am sure you will hear fanboys say that one is WAAAAAY better and that the others are junk.....not so. It's all going to come down to cost, reliability, customer service, perceived quality.....I mean, performance as well, but like I say.....get 100 people that have the systems and I'd be willing to bet you find it split pretty even between the 3 system.
  3. Something to think about with the ARV.....taking the same magazine as the AKV, you can buy +15 round extensions right from PSA (50 rounds!!) and TACCOM is offering a +25 round extension and will be offering an aluminum coupler (and long spring) to splice 2 -35 round mags to get 70 rounds. The ARV is gonna be a winner IMHO for reliability and capacity in the very near future!!
  4. Many triggers will work in the GMR.....but putting anything else in from the factory installed trigger is going to be a HUGE downgrade
  5. Keep in mind......the TANDEMKROSS or MCARBO......is just a trigger, not the sear and hammer.
  6. So no one but myself has gone the route of installing the Volquartsen 10/22 trigger parts in there PC Carbine? That surprises me. I personally think that it is still the most viable option out there for the cleanest trigger I've felt in those carbines
  7. The ramp will protect the mag from blowing out. It will only work with barrels that have no ramp protruding back fro the bolt face. IE...our TACCOM barrels or Shooting innovations. On the plus side.....the TACCOM barrels have a built in feed ramp that comes back far enough to protect the magazine from blowing out.
  8. What he did is very sound......on the post thing, a little higher, like shouldn't be problematic at all.....but if you are concerned, it can be lowered a little bit with a dremel easy enough. Side note......I was at a match once where a guy did blow out the front of his magazine.....we had to unload it the PCC (of course) then take it to the safety area where one guy held the rifle with two hands and another pulled on the glock big stick with two hands......was a total tug of war going on!!
  9. Just an FYI.......that is pretty much one of the benefits also, of the TACCOM glock insert as well.
  10. Well THAT.....is an interesting question!!. Absolutely!!!! 100%.........we even sell complete ulw uppers with that hg
  11. PP........put it where YOU think is the best spot......then second guess yourself, analyze it, over analyze it some more, switch it up a few times.....you'll probably end up right back where you started.
  12. nope......the current HG can be cut to any length
  13. Not really.....the blast shield (removable and place-able) protects you hand from the brake gases, unless you shoot your PCC with the 'hand over the top' The shield covers 270 degrees and still allows for the gas to go straight up. Of course if you are shooting a UWL or standard 16" barrel, then you would not need the blast shield and the hand guard will be sturdy enough to run iron sights on the front as well.
  14. you could wait a month for this......14.5" long carbon fiber, blast shield/extension, colors.......solid mount.....small diameter, 6 ounces, $160 price range.....pretty much designed for any legal 16" barrel configuration.
  15. LOAD FOR THE WEAPON AT HAND.....life will be much easier.
  16. If most of you are running AR15 triggers, you know that fire 223 with SRP's why would it be any different loading 9mm with SRPs? In the case of JP or hyperfire.....would it be a mute point? I know there are triggers made specifically for PCC, but the way I understand it....that is a geometry thing, not a hammer spring or hammer weight thing. Asking for a friend?
  17. I get it......but the 1016 really makes use of the gas. I'd like to go even lighter, aluminum is possible, if I can steel pin it and cover weld aluminum, but that is difficult to a point. Ti is an option but it will drive the cost up. In the end, I'd still have the ports where they are......so it comes down to making a hand guard that still allows for the guys to grab out farther and still allow for the ports to work where they are at.......and THAT is the fun part!! It's possible and we are looking at it.
  18. none......what you are saying is make a 1016 like a 1316 and that would be silly
  19. You do know that you could have ordered a complete.....reliable feeding taccom upper with bolt, for less......It would ship Monday and you'd probably have it for the next weekend.
  20. The new brake on the 1316 pretty much duplicates the design of the brake on the 1016 (only lots shorter)........while a radical looking design, it's been proven to be more efficient that the previous design.....really utilizes all the gas possible.
  21. Notching the bolt will not make the bolt any weaker......and if will not affect the use of the bolt in a non super feed barrel.
