  1. many variables......I will say that our superfeed barrel takes care of MANY of the lower issues. Our bolt seems to take care of the ejection issues, along with our recoil systems smoothing out the entire package. But I will say this......the TACCOM superfeed barrels are THE most reliable barrels on the planet....no one makes one as reliable across the board....period. I know, I know....your brand x barrel has fed 100%....awesome, we have 100s of barrels out the that feed 100%
  2. we should have bolts in today......the air cushion rocks!!
  3. we are running the 10.5 and 13.5 inch barrels now and this time we will be offering them without a brake
  4. hope to have it on the site today(?) shipping next week
  5. WHY??......you are just going to end up buying my barrel for it anyways. HAHAHAHAHA
  6. correct.....this front end is a whole different animal
  7. no sir......it will take ANY AR15 hand guard.
  8. Barrels are in the mill, then out for plating.......should be sometime next week???? Tim
  9. Yeah.....probably not going to happen unfortunately we believe our brakes are far superior as well as first to market.....we see no reason to support our competitors product
  10. TACCOM 1016 barrel can use any bolt with out modification, unless you want to use the super feed option.....then its a simple matter of sending the bolt into TACCOM for a free modification. The bolt can still be used with pretty much any blowback barrel on the market. Except the shooting innovations barrel. They actually use the original feed ramp we developed over 2 years ago. We went on to an improved design of that feed ramp......still a good ramp, we just decided that there was a way to make a ramp that didn't involve modifying the bolt.
  11. you can do that.....16" barrel and a regular stock will make it a rifle. You just can't go the other way. Tim
  12. coming from a guy that literally HATES to clean guns.......I know that I've run 2000 rounds thru my MPX between total cleanings. I've taken the piston out every now and then to lube it but that is about it. Also......with my MPX, I have never run anything but factory ammo thru it.....it is flawless....period.
  13. The TACCOM shrouded barrels are MUCH louder than your ave 16" barrel.
  14. You do not have to use our bolt......you have a few options 1) run the barrel with your bolt and do not use the super feed option 2) send your bolt in to us for modification (free of charge).....note you can still use your bolt for any 9mm barrel on the planet. 3) Buy our bolt.....again, our bolt while it has the notch cut out, can be used with ANY 9mm Blow back barrel out there. Our super feed barrels are hands down the most reliable feeding barrels out there......yes, I know you have XXX brand and you've never had an issue with feeding, God Bless you. Unfortunately, I hear all too often of how people that have those brand XXX finishing 2nd or 3rd place due to that 99.99% reliability. Not saying that we never have an issue, they are just far and few between and take care of those issues ASAP, should they arise. On the issue of HP's......we all know HP's and AR9's typically do not play well together......and we stop short of saying you'll have zero issues with HP's. However, many customers have run HP's with success. I still personally would not recommend HP's for the AR9.
  15. All you have to do is get it to us.......in a BOX.....not an envelope....bad things happen to envelopes. As a rule, if we get it one day, it typically goes out the next day Tim
  16. not saying more......the ULW is just a way different impulse, very fast. And yes, you know that setting up the recoil system is key no matter what barrel and/or load you run
  17. On the ULW barrels.....the ones that have the shroud.....yup, the cuts in the front of the barrels was really just for looks....you'd surprised at how many still want that anyways.... On the 10/16 and 13/16 barrels......that brake just works....period. And both barrels shoot VERY flat. On the ULW and XLW barrels......the pressure curve drops off a alot faster than the longer rifled barrels and you work with your load and/or recoil system to get that dot to return to POA as fast as you can. I've always said, I don't care how much my dot moves.....as long as it gets back to POA before I can pull the trigger again (meaning double taps). Me being an older guy, my splits have gone WAY up!! HOWEVER....we've got guys in the shop that are M's and GM's that can do splits faster than I ever could....as well as Kenny Nagata out in California using the ULW and XLW barrels in both USPSA and Steel Challenge.....reaching very fast, lightning speed splits. I have to believe in the case of the light barrels.....it's all how you set up your load and or recoil system.
  18. .12 eh....you must be that much better than him in that case
  19. You will very soon.....he is kicking it in USPSA as well. It's a winning combo for USPSA as well.
  20. The ULW/XLW barrels are pretty much made from the same blanks. As for dot bounce.....the faster impulse will allow for fast double taps, however.....it will all come down to buffer system at that point. The new air cushion system has been VERY successful at being FAST, soft and smooth. Kenny Nag is running a ULW with the air cushion and loves it.....feels that he is get much faster splits that ever before. And who's gonna argue with him?
  21. The TACCOM ESSB bolt HAS to be short stroked....or YUP, the hammer will catch the notch.
  22. Well, that's cool. However, as length isn't a concern to me......the PSA magazines with their +15 extension is drop dead reliable, lighter and well, less expensive too. Still....may end up getting one
  23. Yeah, you short stroke it so the hammer doesn't go over the bump
