  1. The hoser always has been and always will be on our corner... You DA MAN, Hoser!!! oh yeah....YMMV Tim
  2. Please contact the BOD of the USPSA (and Dave Thomas) on this matter. I am the SC for Minnesota and our Level I RO class has been cancelled as well at this time. I believe that the decision to cancel classes was wrong!!! In our situation, we will be losing 20 potential RO's this year as we can not re-schedule until Fall or Spring of 2005. I see no difference in training new RO's today with the current rules.....and then implement the new rules tomorrow (or 60 days from when they are published or what ever), than someone like myself who is a CRO and having to learn the new rules anyway. I do not see the logic in the decision....except maybe from a logistics standpoint, however, I would have thought that they took this into consideration a long time ago.
  3. I am in the LUBE IT UP group!!......I use Mobil 1 Sythentic Tranny fluid.....What is great about it that is.....it is thin....adheres....cleans....AND....keeps the gunt in solution...runs an entire match and a lot more. As for port size.....I've found it to be a real personal thing....so go up incremental and stop when the gun functions with ALL the ammo you are going to use. Then......do not change ammo!!! I have seen more people having problems at matches mainly due to that fact that they have this "It's just a shotgun, any ammo will do" attitude. Stay with the ammo you find that runs in the gun and DO NOT CHANGE....EVER!!! Oh and someone told me to use smileys to make sure everyone knows I'm not offending anyone so here goes
  4. Hello all......was lurking and came upon this.......so I figure I may as well add my $.02 worth. I am the RM for this upcoming match and it should be a barn buster!!! Of the 11 stages.......7 of them are real bonifide 'freestyle' field courses.....a stage that lets YOU figure out the best way to shoot it.....not the course designer. Then we have some courses that will will challenge ALL of the other skills. We like to mix up our matches.....some hosers, some run & gun, some accuracy, some speed. Some courses will bring out the 'gamer' in people (but hey!, this is a game) and some seem pretty straight forward....until the buzzer goes off. Each stage will have posted CRO's for the entire match to help keep things running smoothly.......these guys put their heart and soul in to these matches, and I am very proud to be associated with them and honored to call them my friends. We do have a lot prizes including a couple AR15's, a lower, scopes, bipods, radios and more......for this match we are going to do something I personally have never done before.....the prizes are going to be given away by random drawing so anyone that finishes the match has a chance of winning. Winners of the match, divisions and classes will also get framed certificates. Included with the $40.00 match fee is lunch.......Roast Beef sandwiches, that a local farmer (and shooter) has donated for this match.....anyone that has ever had these before know just how good they are!!!! (Thanks Dan!!). And heres the kicker.......if you are not a memeber of Gopher USPSA.....you do not set up or tear down.......as we feel you are our guest. Come, shoot, have a good time and enjoy one of the biggest matches held in Minnesota this year!!! I hope you can make the match.......If you live in a state close by.......it is well worth the trip!!! Tim
  5. I have to agree with the Pump only shotgun for HE-MAN........but for the rifle, I think battle optics are the way to go. IMHO.....if this is tactical......I would think that having optics on a 308 would be pretty darn tactical. Also, i think you just may get more people involved as well. Like I say......just my opinion.
