  1. I have used a Gracey did not like it . You use it like a pencil sharpener. The Giraud is the same. After about 30 min my hands hurt and cramp up. The Giraud is a better unit. I sold my Gracy and bought a Dillon 1500 and set up a tool head to process 223 brass. It sizes and trims at the same time . All other units require you to size then trim. Have never seen the Hornady in person. So size clean lube off (cases slip in your hand you get incostant length etc) then trim vs lube run threw press clean load. Non press mounted Giraud is considered the best If you can try before you buy . Don't just do a hand full but several 100 to really get a feel for how it works.
  2. The AMU and USMC pistol teams do not trim cases. Go hear http://www.bullseyeforum.net/f13-ammunition-discussion ask your question .See what they say.
  3. High master class bullseye never trimed a case . you know they get shorter as they are shot? second threw tenth time shot they are thear most accurate. after that shot till lost at 25y.
  4. loosen screws that hold powder mesure to die loosen lock down nut then turn die ( just like sdb 550 650) in or down for more out or up for less then tighten lock nut and screws .
  5. This has been very impressive in several guns https://angelfireammo.com/223-75gr-reman-case-250rds/ Sup MOA in 2 and just over MOA in 3 none over 2MOA.
  6. They are the same. The black ones have been through a Harding process.
  7. I like this one http://www.hivizsights.com/product/mgh2007-i-ii/

  10. touching is not enough you have to remove the play (flex) in the press turn it in a little at a time 1/4 turn at a time
  11. What press? Probably need to turn die in another 1/4 or 1/2 turn to cam over
  12. You dont say what gun you are using ..This changes thangs . AR9 is a blow back. Mpx is gas operated I have AR9 type so powders much slower than WSF AA5 are in my findings to slow. AA7 for example has a large flame out the ejection port.Quite simply the bolt moves to soon to take advantage of such a slow powder. Win auto comp had vertical strings again the bolt is moving open to soon.I had good results with WSF .My best all around results has been with Bulls Eye and 147 SNS bullets.
  13. I run redding dies , MBF funnel. Leave the ratchet at least until you you are conferrable with the machine.. Leave the swaging rod been getting some crimped primers as of late.
  14. You know there are multiple threads on this subject. All progressive presses do this. There are tangs you can do to minimize this. End result get over it. Adjust your seating die so that the long rounds are not to long and short ones are not to short. Some of the veneration is in your brass some in your bullets.
  15. Really not needed now with that said I do deprime and swadge 9mm brass for a few friends that dont have 1050s. I throw my brass in and load no pre processing. I have had one primer go off in the 1050 it was a rung primer(center of primer came out edge stayed in). Have set down behind a 650 four times (was trying to decide between 650 and 1050) three times the primer system detonated every primer tube and all. So 1050 for me. The one primer that went off (1050) was only the one under the case not the whole system. I use canned air very often (keep every tang clean) .
  16. Have a 18in gunner IT WILL NOT SHOOT just plain not accurate.
  17. Its a variable power scope for a reason only use the magnification when you need it (long range). Get the switch view lever. Run it on the lowest power you need. On one power it is a red dot .( with the illumination on).
  18. Local cowboy shooters that use Bullseye 4.2 under a 200 gr bullet. I dont know the clays load but if you wont to try a different powder you dont have. Trail Boss is the powder of choice ( 5.5 gr).
  19. 124 jhp PD vs MG same powder charge . Less than 5 fps difference in my open gun.
  20. Ok pull out the mr bullet feeder expander . Look inside I got one that was (lack of better words) or appeared to be threaded . This caused a mess (not as bad as you are having). DA changed venders . eather hone it out or complain to DA.
  21. What does the top of the tool head look like? What powder and charge?
  22. Is this what your looking fore https://lvl10i.com/collections/dillon-upgrades/products/delrin-primer-slide-sleeve-for-dillon-1050 or just go to Dillon http://dillonprecision.com/docs/super_1050_primer_system_assembly.pdf
  23. They are failing your case gauge. You have a sizing issue. With range pickup brass I size twice. Brass springs back after you size it depending on the chamber it was fired it may not size correctly every time.
