    Glock 17 FTF Issue

this is your answer you will need to "fix " one of these. The 11 pound spring referred to above is a good option. You could possibly get by with a 12. A slight increases in powder to 4.0 would also help. Note for you information I run a 11 pound ISM spring in 3 different Glocks . 4.5 pound striker spring. Over 40k on each no wear issues.
  2. Do you have access to a standard AR (223) firing pin? If so the tip is the same. It may also be possible to make one from it.
  3. Most small rifle primers use the same priming compound. The main difference between standard and magnum is a slightly harder cup with magnum. If your pistol will set them off they will work. I would load a 100 and test before loading a lot.(thousands)
  4. Sizing prevents setback. In this case (Revolver)crimp prevents bullet pull. I taper crimp my 9mm ammo as pictured above for a 929 with no issues.
  5. The pcc will be the limiting factor in length. A plunk test will need to be performed. So if it will fit in the PCC it should work in the pistol. With that said. 4.0g Sport Pistol @ 1.125 3.8g Bulls eye @ 1.125 Two loads that I have used that make power factor works in a pistol and PCC.
  6. First its best to seat and crimp in separate steps. You can do both in one step. But separate will produce better and more consistent results. Seat bullet to desired length. Then apply a taper crimp. In this case you need a little more than just removing the flair. Just don't "cut" the coating.
  7. I am down to a 11# spring. Have a similar issue. You can try a different optic but the problem is the slide. The conversion just doesn't work sometimes . The brass is coming loose from the extractor. Not hitting the ejector The same every time.
  8. 16 in barrel. Power factor was 140+/-
  9. Had to go look at my records.(quit using Blues 125RN). In my PCC and a few others 1.00 is max length to pass . Also FYI load was 3.8 of N320.
  10. Your length is not that short. I have to load PD 124 HP to 1.05 to pass. No issues.
  11. Round Nose tend to feed better. TC tend to be more accurate. No real accuracy difference till you get past 25 yards.
  12. Not at first . That's why it took over 1K rounds. Probably re zeroed it 20 times.
  13. Have you tried the zero brand that the guys suggested over on bullseye l recommend? They are very accurate in my revolvers. 1 1\2 to 2 1\2 at 50 yards from a Ransom rest.
  14. That is a swaged hollow base bullet. Good Luck. There are only a few manufactures of that projectile.
  15. Last optic that I had do that the glass was loose. Chased the sights for over one thousand rounds . Before finding this out.
  16. With as short of a barrel that you have. I would not reduce below starting charge. You need a certain amount of PSI for the powder to burn. Only load a few rounds (12?) . Test fire . Repeat in .2 increments till you find the recoil / accercy you are looking for . Stop at " book" max. The data for 148DEWC will keep you safe. Have seen the 148SWC and there's not enough difference in bearing surface to worry about in this case.
  17. Don't know about the 650 to 750. But 550b to 550c I had to adjust every die.
  18. OAL for your porpose seat to the crimp grove then roll crimp into grove. Powder charge just look up the starting charge for the bullet you are going to use. For example TG starting charge for a 148 DEWC is 2.7gr. #2 starting charge for a 148 DEWC is 2.6gr.
  19. Try responding to ther e mail . If you have not. The person in charge may not know the tips were once black. Otherwise call them .
