Have one, it is heavy, but a great gun. The regular p7 does get hot after 25 or 30 rounds quick fire. The P7m8 has a heat shield and an american style mag release, instead of a heel release. You were able to pick up a P7 for around $800 (pre CT), and they have been going up before than, and now you will be lucky to find one under $1,200 on GB. Mags are also quite expensive. they were around $60 a pop. Beyond that, they are extremely accurate, did see a few folks shoot production with it. Very slim, great carry gun.

This should not be considered a hobby. You can easily classify this as self employment income, and deduct all expenses directly against that on schedule c iirc, and pay taxes only on the net income.... which will be backed into all the other income on your 1040. I switched to 100% Xtreme Plated Hallow Points. Started them out at the local matches, shot them at the sectional and was happy, shot them at Area 8 and was satisfied, shot them at nationals and now a firm believer. =) I believe a lot of the problems from plated bullets stem from thin plating that tears away under higher velocity. One of the reasons I went with Xtreme is because the plating is thick. As per reps, they are good for FMJ velocities. Berrys now has double struck IIRC. As far as shooting, xtreme hallow points, (180 grain 40 cal) have been very accurate with N320 out of my SVI. Shoot extremely clean because of no exposed lead base. I can go 1,000 rounds without hangups because gun stays clean.

I personally like the Sfariland 771 pouches for the ELS belt system. simple and they work.

I personally dislike stages like this unless it is a classifier. Especially where there is only one way to shoot them. Agree with all the other comments, 3 strings, too many shots at individual targets means more target replacements, more time wasted walking, 3 strings will mean on average of 40 seconds to a 1 min of shooting, plus the make ready plus unload, plus the time in between strings.

But... the short answer, depends on how many avail points there are on the stage and if it is a high or low hit factor stage, and how bad you think you suck. Say a stage with 30 rounds or so, each mike is worth about 3 to 5 seconds added to your time.

The most I ever went on a Star was 7 shots for 5 plates. Typically go 5 for 5 or 6 for 5 if I rush it. A Star is not that difficult, but we psych ourselves out of it. Shoot it top down and you will get it in no time. Think of it, a plate is bigger than a headshot.

Get a RCBS Lock Out Die.... problem solved. The issue really is what you do and what happens during a stoppage when you are reloading. Sometimes you will advance the case before you dispensed powder... (then again, a dillon 550 is not auto index).... yeah, use a lock out die.

Maybe a tapatalk issue? Is it updated to the newest version on the server? Cache and Search Index need to be recompiled?

I can see how this would be against the "intent" of IDPA and can be seen as gaming.... but ... just shoot USPSA. FTDR would fit... but what was the reason given to you? with rule.
