  1. What if you add in "&" between GunWorks & Munitions???
  2. Thanks for the info, appreciate it.
  3. A technical question. I just examined a S&W 629. The double action trigger pull works normally, pull on the trigger, the hammer goes back and then fires. Problem is when I cock the hammer into single action. The hammer stays back but when I start to apply pressure to the trigger, something pulls the trigger forward and the hammer lowers but is stopped short of having the firing pin hit the primer. Now if I have the hammer cocked and just jump hard on the trigger, the hammer falls and will probably fire. All of the above testing was done without live ammunition and the firing pin is mounted on the hammer. Can anyone tell me what may be wrong with this gun? Thanks

    CFE Pistol

    That's what I was thinking too...for 38Super. Hopefully it'll be available soon.
  5. Looks like this will be a popular match. Now shows 181 of 300 spots open. Looks like only 7 spots of 350 left, I'm out for next year. Hope it's a great match.
  6. I just read about a new powder released by Hodgdon called CFE Pistol. Says it's good for 9mm; 38 Super; 40 S&W; 45 ACP. Has anyone seen this powder or used it? Will it make major in 9 and 38? Not that I found this powder but inquiring minds want to know
  7. I started with the upright C-More mounts and got use to it. Then, about 2 years ago, I switched to the sideways C-More mount on my new open gun. Had to get use to it as I now had to bring the gun up higher into my line of sight. I have since gotten use to it and like it. Don't notice it blocking my vision one bit, only if I try to sight thru the lens then I notice it blocking my view but I focus on the target anyway. I like that the dot is closer to the bore for those upper A shots especially when there is a no shoot below it. Last night I was playing with one of my older open guns with the straight up mount and found I was bring the gun up too high to see the dot. I guess with practice, you can get use to anything.
  8. Hey sarge, they are a little more expensive but really not that much more at all. I think the difference is a cent per bullet. But I believe the MG bullets are easier to get on a regular basis. I really liked the 121 gr HAP's for my open gun but they are hard to find.
  9. The one to change between small and large pistol primers? Only if you will change primer sizes. The Dillon catalog takes awhile for it to cross the Pacific Ocean to get to me.
  10. Have you thought of flipping the current racker to the right side? I've seen right handed shooters with the slide racker on the right side and do really well.
  11. How clean or dirty are the loads you tested? I've been seeing more carbon and some yellow grains of residue when using Silhouette in my 38SC loads.
  12. I don't know, most people never left here. Get what you can before you get here, most places here are higher priced than there (mainland).
  13. Yeah, I'll have real shoes on. I even had to increase my trigger pull weight because my finger goes numb from the cold. Looking forward to this match, last time I shot it was in 2007.
  14. Check out the guys over at Kokohead. Go to Mid Pacific Pistol League (mppl.net) and check their schedule and there are two more groups HPS (Hawaii Practical Shooters) and Rhat Rhat Boyz. It's easier to get stuff like powder and primers on Oahu than the outer islands and buy your bullets on-line using USPS flat rate shipping. There are some multi-gun matches but not like on the mainland. You have to register your guns (not magazines) at the police station when you/it gets here. When registering your gun(s), I would leave the mags at home.
  15. Dang it...I was trying to stay out of the cold 06:50am starts Guess I'll have to bring my blanket to the range
  16. Looks like this will be a popular match. Now shows 181 of 300 spots open.
  17. Kewl and congratulations, you two make a good looking couple. and looks like you have a really good group of shooting guys and girls there.
  18. One you can tell 3K Sports is shooting related (gun/bullseye); The one with the antlered animals is hard to tell what 3K Sports is about; Revised one makes it look like 3K Sports is geared to shotgunning.
  19. That's where I bought my kit and they (Jason) are not flaky. Order confirmed right away and received an email notice when shipped (very quick). BTW, I bought for my S1050.
  20. Wait till you hit 50...heh heh heh
  21. Sometimes there were big black "X"s on them...in the past.
  22. You'll also need a tool/cutter/swager for the primer pockets if you're using crimped brass.
  23. At the 2013 Open Nationals there were multiple stages in the same bay. The way they ran it was the shooter made ready and shot one stage then the RO said to make ready for the next stage then we moved to the next stage. At the next stage, I asked about taking a sight picture and the RO reminded me I was still under the make ready command. Only problem I saw was the shooter had the holster locked when moving to the next stage and when the start signal sounded, the shooter had a problem drawing the gun since the holster was locked. FYI, the shooter locked the holster on their own and was not told to lock it.
