  1. I'm heading to Vegas soon and want to shoot something full auto. Do you have any recommended ranges? The 702, American shooters and the Progun club offer FA rentals. Do not go to the Gunstore. they are a tourist trap for Asian tourist and other foriengers. There is also a place call battle field Vegas which offers a full package. the indoor ones are very close to the strip. i would suggest going to the Pro gun club. its an outdoor venue vs indoor for most of the other ranges. you can also take a look at the facilities while you are there. They hold a lot of uspsa and 3 gun there. there are rumors that they would like to host the Nationals there in the future. its only about 20 mins from the strip and drive a little further and you can visit hoover dam also. Good recommendations here, especially the don't go to... +1 for the dam tour
  2. The current issue of Front Sight has an article on the 180.
  3. +1. Sara Shahi (Shaw on the show) is HOTT! Killer looks and killer moves. I first saw her in a few episodes of Chicago Fire. I'm a fan of Shaw
  4. I have used both and settled on the Limcat mag holders (not really a pouch) and my mags now face out and forward. It might make a difference to someone who may have difficulty rotating their arms when drawing a mag. You will get use to whatever setup you have. BTW my index finger is on the front of the mag when I draw it.
  5. You can also spot weld them in place. If you know someone at an autobody shop they should have a spot welder.
  6. what bullet and weight you planning on using?
  7. In the March/April edition of Front Sight, Kim said the clubs/sections will have the option on how to apply their activity credits, slots or merchandise...this is for the 2015 season....unless it changed...
  8. I gotta go back and look at the Front Sight mag and I thought I remember in Kim's section she was talking about the clubs/sections deciding to have their fees go towards slots or store credit.
  9. Sounds like the choice comes down to paying for 38S/SC brass or using/getting cheap 9mm brass. I shoot 38SC in open and like it. Where I shoot, we all pickup our brass at the end of the match and look like a flock of birds when the brass is spread out on the table. If most of my matches were lost brass matches, then I would go with 9mm. Shooting 9mm in Production minor, I found out the various 9mm cases all slightly vary in rim/case diameters and sometimes enough to not go easily into the shellplate (S1050). So, if I were to shoot 9mm major in open, I would definitely use a Case Pro to roll size the brass.
  10. Yes, it would have been nice to know when the waitlist was scheduled to open. Only chatter was on this forum with no official announcement until it opened. Some knew, a lot didn't. Since I signed up "late" (Tuesday) I almost didn't make it in this match. But once my number was called, I was able to pay and squad almost instantly and was able to shoot in the regular match too. I would have liked to shoot with certain friends but they were already squadded on a squad with no openings, because I had to get on the waitlist to get a slot. No problem, I understand they earned a slot and was able to squad early, as it should be. As for next year, I'll just have to shoot better to get an "earned" slot and not have to deal with this waitlist business. I have not coordinated any large match so I can't say how to do it. Except for letting us know in advance when the waitlist will officially open.
  11. I just got a G42 today. My wife likes it and wished it was pink. It will probably end up as her gun...after I break it in of course.
  12. Woo Hoo, I'm in. Got the go ahead email this a.m., paid and squadded.
  13. Number 576 and waiting.......
  14. Buy the new gun for competition if you have the money. Then I would work the trigger to my liking. There's more to accuracy than a tight barrel an bushing fit.
  15. I was pointed to the Samsonite S'Cure and told the material is stronger than the F'lite model. I'm looking for the ones with latches instead of zippers. Now the airline I like to use is telling me I have to separate the gun case from the ammo case, overheard the rep telling another one that is because if the bag gets stolen, there won't be any ammo to use the gun and if the bag with the ammo is stolen, there won't be a gun to use it in. Means more bag fees for them. Looking to use a friendlier airline in the future where they will let me bring 50 lbs of ammo.
  16. Looks like too much. Check out the vendor section for Baliistic Tools, he has a tool/gauge that helps you determine if your swage is enough. Like a go/no go gauge. You could also try to swage a little, seat a primer and see if you have enough of the crimp removed without messing up the primer. I would rather use the tool, faster and less waste.
  17. Is that a scuba mask? Looks like it doesn't it. That's what came out of the rulebook Nah, he would drown with that mask...it doesn't cover his nose
  18. Not yet, but at number 582 it'll take a while to get to me. Anyway there is an update and they've added an extra day to the pre match: Prematch UPDATE: We added an extra day to this match due to demand. You can still shoot it in two days. We’ll be sending an email to any competitors who signed up for the 2-day schedule, advising them of this. The schedule was changed since we have so many people signed up AND on the wait-list…we wanted to be able to accommodate more than 120 shooters in the pre-match.
  19. I like "Lock n Load". They seem knowledgeable and are well run.
  20. I hope/wish both of you are right because my email message said I was shooter 582 of 800. I wasn't able to sign up until Tuesday a.m. Hawaii time. Just have to wait and see what happens next.
  21. Gotta keep an eye out for that model, that is exactly what I'm looking for. The others have the wheels sticking too far out and I don't think those would not last too long especially when loaded close to 50 lbs.
  22. I looked at the Samsonite hardsided suitcases and most of the large ones I see are about 12 lbs. Want to get one with latches instead of a zipper so my choices were limited. Found a couple but I need to see it in person to see if it'll fit all my shooting stuff.
  23. PV price is: $18.35 a pound but they don't have any. So, the price will be what the market is willing to pay. I'll be having to dip into some of my older powder because that is all I have. Never thought I'd run out of powder...or primers...or bullets...
