  1. my EMP with an empty mag is only 27.15oz, so plenty of room to spare
  2. it's kind of like wearing suspenders with your belt.
  3. If you remove it from holster during make ready it's fine but if you just slip it of the gun and let it hang, it's still connected to the holster and has to be used, it would be the same as a removable thumb break holster.
  4. is this what you are talking about
  5. when you make ready do you leave it attached to the holster or remove it completely? had to go to Bens site to see wat you where talking about
  6. I don't where everybody thinks an arbitration is automatically $100 dollars, it's only that much if the match fee is that much or more. so for most local matches it would be $20 to $30. 11.4.1 Amount – As set by the Match Organizers, the appeal fee to enable an appellant to appeal to arbitration will be US$100.00 or the equivalent of the maximum individual match entry fee (whichever is lower). An appeal brought by the Range Master in respect of a match issue will not incur a fee.
  7. if those are your only two choices go with the JP you wont be sorry, the sig will be down for repairs more than it's running after 5 -7K rounds.
  8. I ran an MPX for about a year and a half, for back parts extra firing pins and springs X 3 an extractor and about a half a dozen extractor springs and at least 1 complete back up guns 2 would be better, after they get several thousand rounds in them the are broke more than they are running. got rid of mine and bought two complete ar 9s taccom builds on KE arms lowers and have never had to go to a backup and only replaced 1 firing pin.
  9. Been talking to Techwell about one for my KE Arms lower, as of last email he was in the process of getting a lower, So there's hope for us KE owners
  10. I guess I use mine a bit differently than most. it's always on and sighted in at 7 yards. and then I just use it as a second dot. when I look thru my c more the red dot is 18 yards and the green is 7 yards, so I just don't have to think about hold over for close targets. it has been used to shoot around walls from time to time.
  11. I enjoy the shooting sports to much to think about sponsors, I spent years fishing tournaments with several sponsors, Never bought a rod or a reel or line got trolling motors for next to nothing and had a very good relationship with a boat and a motor Mfg, but spent more time and effort doing other things besides fishing for them, sure I was paid, but not much to do sport shows but had to stock shelfs and set up displays, for dealers, and getting loaned out to there disturbers. In the end it just gets to be another job. Sponsors don't care what or how well you do in your sport they do care about how you can make them money, so unless you are Rob, Max or Jerry add the few others, you're better of to just wear match shirts or ones with sponsored by ME or Mom and Dad
  12. still trying to find one have several shops looking but no luck yet
  13. this was bad DQ Frist, holster and place you hands on you head is not a legal range command, Second, the shooter was still under the make ready command. What the RO should have done was, STOP, Unload and show clear, Hammer down and holster, had target repaired and then start again, I know it doesn't happen this way often but save a minute or 2 it's done, this was a range officer failure not the shooters,
  14. just like flatland I won a g2c at a rod and gun banquet. my first thought was what an I going to do with this thing. then I shot it wasn't bad after a few hundred rounds with out a malfunction I shot a couple IDPA matches still no problems, so it ended up in my carry gun line up. till I went to visit my son in Seattle and gave it to him to carry. then a few months latter started missing it so went and picked up another, I think it is a very underrated firearm that shoots well n d functions every time for me and every one else who tries it, Gun stores around here can't keep them in stock, but have a bunch of used g42 and g43 as well as M & Ps
  15. simple fix lets go back to solid walls. ( sarcasm, note for those that can't tell)
  16. I get asked this all the time, I always start with, it's like the difference between baseball and softball, same basic game with a few different rules and tools. then I talk about the free style verses tactical.
  17. I like the idea of a 22lr match. but most of the club members want to do a center fire match, and it would be mostly members shooting, I think it would be fun and challenging with small targets and inventive shooting positions.
  18. would like to host a local PRS style match but the range we have is only 300 yards max. could a match be done with 1/3 size IPSC/IDPA steel targets to simulate longer distance. Have watched matches and have props or could easily build to set up 4 good stages just at shorter distance with smaller targets,
  19. That easy 38 super ( 38 ACP back in the day ) the way J M B original designed the pistol to be before the military decided they want a 45 cal. gun.
  20. I would love to but if did revo that would bring the total to 4 if mark w. goes.Just started getting old being the only revolver guy at a match or shooting a division that match directors won't recognize,(even though we pay the same entry ) I think my revolver work will stay with the local IDPA, icore MW regional and if I can get in the low cap national. but I would be willing to do area 3 if we could fill a squad.
  21. placed 2nd in my class back in the days when you run what you brung . been hooked ever since.
  22. at a local USPSA match a drop turner was used on a stage and it was briefed that since it was a disappearing target it didn't have to be engaged just activated, The way the stage was set up you could fire you last round and walk over and activate the footpad and not engage the target with out a FTE penalty, I called BS right away, so with some rule searching it was changed that you had to activate the drop turner before the last shot was fired but you didn't need to engage the drop turner, at this point I just let it go and shot the match,
  23. its a Daniel defense 1 o'clock so I think it's a good mount everything seems tight, but the dot sets to tall on this mount. with the gun at an angle where the dot is level it sets 2-3 inches right of bore axis. and doesn't have the windage adjust to bring dot to center, been looking at the trijicon 45 deg as it is lower than the DD mount just hoping this works.
