    GLOCK 34

I'm useing a 9 mm major glock with a KKM and a carver comp at 7g of auto comp and a 124g fmj I was at almost 176 PF backed down to 6.8 and have a goof 170PF that shoots great, no need to go to 7.2 of auto comp ( at 7 cases were starting to bulge )
  2. tested my open glock 22 has a KKM 9mm conv barrel, carver comp, 13 lb ismi spring. 7.0 gr autocomp 124 berry's fmj rn fed sm rif primers 1443 fps 176 pf I thenk I need to back down a few 10ths. would like to stay about 170ish nice to shoot all straight back little to no flip, dot tracked good, loud had ro's backing up
  3. been shooting about a year after a 15 year lay off, and retired from the service about the same time so I'm way out of shape.I just started a TAI CHI class to start with. Has any one else tried this it seen to help me. Larry A5341
  4. If you like the 1911 pick up a good 1 and shoot SSTK then get some 10 rnd mags and you can shoot lim 10 also. that will give you 2 div to shoot as well as CDP in IDPA.
  5. I shot a match this sunday and on the first stage fired my first 6 rnds. went to reload and the cylinder fell to the floor, all I could do was look at the RO and say I guess I don't need to show clear. after that it all went down hill. finished dead last and lost the bet with my son that I could beat him with his LTD GUN. this was the longest ride home ever. that will learn me,
  6. after 25 year my 17 G1 broke it will now fire as you release the triger, I guess it was bound to happen, time to do some work on it and put in a new triger group int been thinking of a glockworx or a B & B ( have one of these in an open gun) after 25 years all I have ever done is put in a extened mag release and a set of sights. I wish they would build things to last.
  7. take a look at carver mount ( it is one of the strongest mounts for the glock) I love mine his slide racker took about 5 min to fit and mount. I lowered my port so the bevel was gone that worked for me after I put the standard ejector back in the long one just would not work so try it first before spending the money on a long one
  8. tke a look at the carver magwell I have them on my LTD and OPEN glocks the ballance is good and they have a large opening for fast reloads www.bb-enterprise.biz and they look good
  9. are you in the service, if so last I heard US service could not have private weapons that may have changed, need to check, there use to be a club on spang air base and at Lahrs (sp) C.A.F.B. back when I was there
  10. I think carvers are the very good and work well for my hands they are on the small side
  11. well indoor season is starting and I"m going to shoot my 610 s&w (40 s&w)one of the early models since I picked it up in the early 90's. use to shoot it way back but it has sat in the safe for a few years. just ordered a C&R holster and a north mtn 4 post, should be fun been doing a lot of reloads sitting in front of the tv hope I can make this work, after shooting open for awhile.
  12. I could do the fat man part, Just started shooting again last DEC after a 14 year lay off showed up with a LE in 45 and some ernie hill leather did I get sone looks, some of the young ones never seen leather speed gear. had a blast and placed 2 nd over all, was told by the RO that some of the guys were upset that an old man could just would show up out of nowhere and could shoot with old gear. I would travel in the mid west for a match, would be a HOOT.\\\
  13. I love metal, now I know why I like open class (not bad for an old man)
  14. wear it out how do you do that been working on A G1 since 85 and still cant wear it out, well on 3rd set of mags
  15. Sponsership is a lot of work I have never had a shooting sponsor as I do it just for fun, but I have been fishing as a pro for several years and have had some major sponsor in the past (taking a few years off for family reasons) it's what you can do on the sales floor not what you can do on the water or the range. I have had pro staff reps tell me that the don't care if you win (that would be gravy) can you make them money. I have taken alot of sales reps and store rep fishing worked on sales floors (selling product, stocking shelfs, setting displays) at the big stores talked to people all over about the equipment I use. it is alot of work and all of this on your own time, and still hold down a full tine job ( very few can make a living ) I have never won a major tourny but will work hard for the people that sponsored me and thats what it is all about
  16. never had it hang up, I can see were it could hang up if you cut it wrong but mine came from carver already modified he has this down to a art
  17. check out carvers site he has C & R holsters already modified to fit his mount, works very good, been using one for about a year.
  18. I like it when he calls hin a JACK WAGON (whats a jack wagon)
  19. while in the service I worked with a few 1 was charles charles we called him chuck squared but the best was a Ssgt I worked with his first name was major. so when he would call someone he would say this major smith and all you would here was yes sir from the other end
