  1. I moved an 850 lb safe with my wifes help. I tipped the safe back. She slid a piano dolly under the safe. I tipped the safe down on to the dolly. (piano dolly-2x2 platforn on 4 heavy duty small wheels.) Works best if safe is not centered on the dolly, but still balanced. Rolled it to the trailer. Put an old piece of carpet in the trailer. Tipped safe, removed dolly. Tipped safe onto trail( just happend to be the perfect height-got lucky) slid it in on its side. Got home and did the same. I was just putting it in the garage but I didnt strain a muscle. I dont think I would like to ever move this up any stairs.
  2. If the ro did not see it then there is no dq. Can someone else yell, STOP! Not really (not in the rules). If someone would have been shot, then everyone would have wished that they had said something. I would have said stop if it was going to put anyone in harms way. If it was a 180 violation and know one was in danger then I would keep quiet and then talk to the ro and shooter after the fact.
  3. Yes, it is legal for production.
  4. I just got 10,000 federal small pistol primers from powder vally last week. The guy I talked to says that they only got 60,000 in since dec. They have 3,000,000 on backorder from federal just for spp.
  5. RO messed up by giving the shotgun shooter a re-shoot. A re-shoot shouldn't have even crossed his mind.
  6. I like to have a lot of extra ammo. The match may only be 160 rounds but you will need more. You have to factor in for plate racks Texas stars etc. that you may not go one for one on. For example, I have seen some shooters dump 20 extra round into the berm while trying to shoot a polish plate rack that was at a farther than "normal" distance. I just shot a match last month where there was a range failure and I had to do a reshoot. That cost me 28 extra rounds. When you start the last stage you will most likely want 50 ish rounds on your belt because you will be dropping mags with ammo still in them. It is always a good idea to have an extra mag or two more than you think you will need for the stage. So when you factor in misses, the small possibility of a reshoot, and some extra ammo for the last stage, I like to bring 250 rounds for our local matches. Like others have said, it is a good idea to find out the round count of you particular match. MORE IS ALWAYS BETTER!
  7. I have both. I like the warren.
  8. Go to coreperformance.com They have a free trial membership. You tell them what you want to do and they will design a program for you. Including what to eat. You can log your progress online. As your fitness goals change, they can change your program to fit you. Or get their dvds and book and go for it on your own.
  9. One month is not enough time to see much improvement. Be careful trying to do too much too fast or you will end up sore and tight from trying to make up for lost time. That being said....Coreperformance.com has some good work outs that will help with agility strength and flexibility. You can order their dvds to use at home. Amazon sells their dvds also. What you eat is 50% of the battle. (before and during the match) Try practicing (shooting) right after a workout or at the end of a long day. One of my best matches eve,r was when i was tired and stressed out, because I knew I had to be more focused. Cross Fit is great! If you started 6 months ago. If you are not use to exercise if will beat you up. I had a friend that was out of shape and did a cross fit workout ( a very hard one) and could hardly move for the next week. This would be good to start after the 3 gun match.
  10. I shoot at the at the range where the IRC is held every year. Even at our range most of the ICORE guys will shoot non revolver guns at the uspsa matches. I think it is more fun. At our monthly ICORE matches we let autos shoot the ICORE match in there own category. I started out shooting uspsa. I shot some ICORE matches with my auto gun and liked the difference enough to buy a revolver and start shooting ICORE on a regular bases. I have seen others converted to a wheel gun after shooting ICORE with there autos. Why isn't there more emphasis on getting the multitude of auto shooter in uspsa to come over to ICORE? I would love to see icore grow to be as well attended as uspsa.
  11. I like 160gr bayou bullets, long colt brass, I forget the length but the bullet is seated to just before the bullet tappers, and 3.3 gr of clays.
  12. I like warren tactical sights. Ilike wider rear notch and the fiber optic front sight. That may not be what you like. I would shoot a match and ask to look at other shooters guns. Most of us like to show off our gun. That way you can see a few options that you may like better than others.
  13. I will call apex in the morning. If I cant get it from apex or some where else close I will let you know. Thanks for the offer. Jeremy P.S. how does the .140 do for far and near...50 yards?
  14. I have a Weigand rear sight blade .140 on my 627. I was going to head to the range for some last min. prep. before the IRC next week. The rear blade fell off. It looks like the screw that holds the sight on did not get staked on as it should have. The little tiny nut at the end of the screw must have come off while I was dry firing. I need to order a new screw kit tomorrow. I live in California. Does anyone know who I should order one from to get it hear asap?
  15. I like star-line 38 long colts with Herthco clips.
  16. I use the James Austin moonclip server and love it. (Get the plastic spaces to go between moonclips) Ready tactical makes nice Kydex holsters. You might want to look into a BMT mooner-best way to load and unload moonclips.
  17. Best way is through ups. You have to have ORD stickers on 4 sides. Ships for normal shipping rates.
  18. I have one of both. I paid for standard and won the click switch. I really like the click switch. Is it worth the money? I guess that depends on the amount of disposable income You have. If this is a sight that you are going to shoot in a match where you are turning it on and off many times in a day.....then the click is nice. If you are not using it a lot I would save the money for ammo and go with the standard.
  19. I have shot both in competition. I started with a 686 plus 6'' cut for moons and now shoot a 627. I like the 627 better. I like the larger frame of the 627. I also like the balance of the gun better on the 627. That 8th shot comes in handy on polish plate racks and Texas stars.
  20. Great for going prone. Easy to index. Palm swells helps absorb recoil. Looks cool. I like mine.
  21. It costs a lot of money but it is worth it. Send it to Apex and have them do a level 4 trigger job with their custom bobbed hammer.
  22. I am using 3.1gr of titegroup with my 147s. Gets me 130 pf out of my 5'' M&P.
