  1. One took 14 months, the other - about 3. Go figure...
  2. For my regular right handed hold a wide, or even just the standard, safety cuts into my index finger joint, so I put standard one there, but then grind it off to some degree. The standard safety has square corner in the back, closer to the hammer, and I make it tapered.
  3. Wide one on the left, smaller on the right. When shooting weak hand other things create more problems.
  4. Some of us might remember the bad period, when bullets were impossible to buy anywhere, and even then PD was in the forefront of customer service. Since then they have been exemplary. I bought their product many times, with no issues.
  5. Cry once - buy a 1050 with Bulletfeeder, your volumes more than justify that.
  6. I like it a lot, I have used it quite a bit and it never gave me any problems.
  7. Sarge, I am with you on that one, I searched wide but was unable to find what I really liked. Until I ordered a water softening system and it came with a perfect size and shape funnel - for loading resin. You might try those places, they would probably sell one for very cheap. It is perfect. https://www.ohiopurewater.com/product-search/?search=funnel
  8. A working $2K open gun? Hard, but not impossible. Just don't rush, keep looking, and you will find it.
  9. As someone already indicated - every sight sample is different. I don't know the internal circuit, hence no idea how, and if they control the current, or just let it be whatever it is for a particular LED. I also know for fact that two different samples of the sight may have vastly different brightness - whether it is the result of the LED efficiency or voltage fluctuations, or current - no idea. Bottom line - trust your eyes and always carry a couple of spare batteries.
  10. Do you have good tools and good mechanical skills? If not, I would take it to a good smith. Depending upon the screw it might be hard to drill a good hole through it. In some cases a carbide Dremel tip would work better. The screw is usually locktighted, so a torch would be needed to loosen it up.
  11. I too prefer the double sided... how predictable was that? No hard data, but I am an engineer, so I trust my gut feel. The only time I did not like the double sided mount was when I had the slide racker on the right.
  12. Are there two more holes on the other side? If so, it could have originally had a Serendipity, or the SVI mount.
  13. Well, not really. It is smaller than some. The shelf length can be shortened, but I have long fingers and like it that way.
  14. Glad you are enjoying it, and your experience is not unique.
  15. That's exactly what I have done too. BTW - these issues seem to be specific to the new die design. I also have two old design machines, and those don't have problems. Overall I like the older ones much better.
  16. I have the compressor very near, but I don't have the means of holding them secure, like in the Hundo. Could probably make something like that.
  17. I am using a large rubber plug for the same reason. Actually, it is a small size swimming pool plug, the one with wingnut on top.
  18. What he said... and make sure the spring chute does not pull it up.
  19. I will take guaranteed quality any day over "standing behind the product". In one case that "standing behind" meant me doing grip swap (provided by the maker), and then a rather expensive shipment back to them - cost me $170 for an expensive gun. I would prefer "done right the first time" type of thing.
  20. Could you tell me - what is that difference in magwells, that you are observing? Mine was from 2014, and I don't recall noticing anything special about it - perhaps it was different design back then. Picture of mine.
  21. One of my used guns was SVI IMM, and I liked it so much I ordered new one... then another one. I have been totally satisfied with them.
  22. This has been discussed many times before. In my case I went through maybe 10 different guns before finally settling on something I really like. Some were purchased used, some bought new. The process took several years, and yes, there IS cost involved. Truth be told, it was not night and day between some of them. In my personal experience Limcat was a bit further away from my ideal comfort spot than others. In reality I could have grown used to it, but some other guns felt right the second I took them. So I am not badmouthing Limcat, but I do believe that selecting your gun based on this year Nationals results might not be the best policy.
  23. The winner would have probably won with an old clunker of a gun, but I don't think Limcat is for everyone. I had two of them, and they have different feel, which was not my cup of tea. You may like it, but you may not. You really need to go with what works for YOU, not some champ.
  24. Has the controversy surrounding that holster been resolved?
  25. Two months ago a tumbled round lost its primer in the middle of a long stage. That was the last straw - no more old brass at matches.
