  1. That is the way I prefer it, does rush the walk through, on simple stages not much of a problem, but an all option 3 gun stage sometimes takes every bit of the 5 min and more.
  2. Makes a BIG difference, I RO and shoot almost all local matches, it does affect the scores. I don't mind, but always feel rushed, not getting a good walk through, etc.
  3. Can't imagine USPSA making that change, every 3 gun match I shoot . Gun with ammo, lands on the ground = DQ. Many are ANY gun on the ground = DQ There are a few, that if you drop an unloaded gun during the CoF , pick it up and move on. I have no problem with that.
  4. Eotech Vuduu 1-6 had a PA 1-6 I really like the ACCS reticle but after the 3rd one lost zero - the replacement is on my occasional rifle. i will say I've been almost 1;1 on long range steel since switching
  5. As an RO I would not allow that, as it will soon get the stage behind schedule, as a MD , I would backup my RO's who also didn't allow it. Most likely I would have instructed them either specifically, or in the WSB, on a stage that may lend itself to being a bottleneck, what to allow at the MR command.
  6. I would love to go but that is WAY too long for a match. I think this year will be the last time I shoot any3 day matches. A 3 day match takes 5-6 days out of the work schedule - can't justify it anymore.
  7. We put deflectors on all ours, does 2 things. 1. removes the "I think it moved" calls /questions 2. keeps the bolts from getting shot off so fast. They still break, but last 80% longer, hardly ever replace one during a 250 shooter match - vs - checking and replacing several at noon , and at the end of each day.
  8. We just built a 260 gas gun, a 6.5 bolt and a 300 win mag bolt to sell in the shop. My son has been shooting/improving his 300 for a while now, I think he has it close to finished I will be shooting a 260, if we can find some close matches that don't interfere with our 3 gun schedule
  9. We have several "physical" stages at every match, we have one Iron man match every year. If nobody pukes, or quits - it was too easy.
  10. All depends on what the WSB says, if it just says empty start, rounds can be ON the gun, if it says ALL rounds must come from the belt/shooter/staging table, that's what it means.
  11. We have built some Rock Island 9mm's for a bit lower than that. However if you shoot much, I would suggest a custom build. We would be happy to help if you want.
  12. He shoots open about 90% of the time, just keeps the M2 to loan out, and the occasional tac ops match.
  13. ??? My son has a M2 he won at a match, he takes it to every match we go to. He has loaned it out at EVERY match he's shot this year, every time to another M2 shooter.
  14. I was planning on making some, but will be about 3 weeks or so. Can't imagine they would be over $100.00
  15. But, but gotta keep it pure man! Without it Irons is dead just as heavy is dead. I hate to see it happen but facts are facts
  16. I practice 4" squares from 10-20 yds. Generally the smallest you will see at a match is 6" and they would be between 10-15 yds. There's always an outlier but usually just 1-2 and most likely won't cost you many places
  17. True, I agree. but read most any Open/comp thread the majority will claim a comp does nothing unless shooting major.
  18. You are correct Dang pic won't load, showing some factory guns with "no recoil"
  19. I guess I missed this one. Is your detent a single piece setup, or 3? The older models were 3 separate pieces and could be rather stiff at times. We have a single captured ball detent to replace the 3 piece ones, should fix your problem.
