  1. I am currently signed up for TO, I will be changing to TI, I could also shoot HO if that would make the difference of dropping that class or not,and if the MD would allow shooting 2 classes. Don't anybody worry , I'll be lucky to finish in the top 70% of any class
  2. That's why I'm wondering if mine is malfunctioning in some way. The only way mine WONT drop a round on the carrier is by pushing the button on the side of the receiver just below the ejection port. I don't see the purpose of putting a shell on the carrier by activating the lever on the trigger guard, it does it automatically reguardless
  3. It makes no differance whether the shell is on the carrier or in the tube , it loads the shell into the chamber the same. That's why I was wondering if mine is operating correctlly? Or is the ?? so stupid no one bothers to answer BTW ,I asked this same ?? on a Benelli forum , no one there had an answer either
  4. It does it automatically when the action cycles in either mode. If I'm understanding you right. I haven't been able to find any other function of that lever. It will cycle the action in pump mode at anytime without any other action other than moving the foreend.
  5. Some ? about my M3. I bought it used , I don't know if it's been modded or broken? What is the lever beside the trigger guard for? The only thing mine does is release a shell from the tube onto the lifter. why/when would this be needed? On most other pump guns this lever allows you to cycle the action without firing . correct?
  6. The problem then becomes , whose standard of visibility do we use. For example, I have a 2yr old grandaughter who is observant beyond belief, she will notice almost instantly, and comment on it,if an object in our house has been moved or changed ,i.e. picture, candle, end table ect. There are others who are oblivious to changes in their enviornment. I hope I'm on the observant side of the scale, but sometimes I'll miss the obvious as well
  7. I don't want to come across wrong ,so here's a little background as to why the additude I have. I run a race track, ATV and Motorcycle, for all ages 3yrs old being the youngest an 68 the oldest we've had. I've had numerous parents who came and complained(2 whose child was 14) after the race their little jr. should've gotten a trophy, "because he tried". I ALWAYS reply , "no little johnnie needs to practice more if he wants a trophy". Many will want enough classes ,rules and regs so their will only be 3 per class , then EVERYBODY gets a trophy . Actually I addressed this also by giving trophies to top 3 OR top 1/3 of the class
  8. As far as painting goes I agree IF your going to paint , EVERY shooter should have fresh paint to keep it equal. If you don't paint every shooter has an equal chance as well.
  9. Why is it so hard for people to understand you can NEVER level the field. How about making sure every one weighs the same, it's not fair for a 300# 50yr old to compete against a 150# 20 yr old. What about the short guys shooting through a higher port, or tall through a low one likewise someone with 20/15 vision VS 20/40 I've got a bad knee and wear a brace, I think everyone else should have to as well I also don't spend as much $$ as some on equipment that's not fair either. Maybe I didn't sleep well the night before!!!! there's no end to the grading. Pretty soon we'll be at the "Everyone gets a trophy" point. My attitude has always been "Do the best you can with what you have ,if you don't like the outcome , do what it takes to improve your preformance don't try to drag someone else down to your level"
  10. Why paint at all? If you start with unpainted all shooters have the same target visiability. If you can't see the target ,take a little of your gear $$ and get a vision upgrade(as one whose vision is going fast). I've seen many guys who complain about target visiability, with thousands $$ of gear and dirty/smudged glasses
  11. Chad , my son and I are planning to RO, if you still need some, maybe 1-2 other to RO as well. We had a race scheduled for that date but we canceled it this yr. Guess I need to get reg. sent in. What do you need as far as reg. for RO's ??
  12. We went to one in Ks. last fall, it was a zero white light except for the shooter, RO's had red lights, there was a tarped area with light for those who needed it . Movement was limited in most stages, I think the furtherest rifle target was 40 yds. saftey didn't seem to be a problem, the one stage every was concerned the most about ended up not being a problem at all. It was , shooter lying in bed, buzzer, pick up pistol off bedside table load, shoot 2 bad guys in room, move to window engage 6 more outside, move to another window engage 6 more. It was the most fun I've had in the dark with clothes on
  13. First I want to say GREAT JOB to Kirk, Chad and the rest. This was my Son and I's ,first large 3 gun match ,we have only shot 3 other small ones that we set up RO'ed, and shot,at our place. We were shooting a 17.5" and 18" smooth bore, with the cheap Walmart loads, the only plates we failed to knock off was because we timed out, some took several shots, but they went down. I also did poorly on the long range shots ,mainly because of a 6MOA red dot it completly covered the target and then some. It was a natural terrain shoot , it's going to be different conditions for everybody, like was said before if you want exact cond. go to an indoor range. This is more like you would encounter in a real life sitution, try a 3 gun in total darkness, now that's fun!!!
