  1. Jump in to the limited and don't look back. I have friends that shot production and finally moved to limited and state they should have gone there to start. Go with Jesse
  2. I had that problem a couple of years ago and bumped up the power factor, it solved my problem
  3. same as grumpyone, I have loaded some more then 10 times with no issues and I probably have about 10,000 of it I bought 2 years ago and it is still ticking.
  4. Call bob at brazos, he will talk to you and Id say he probably knows more on the subject then anyone. Never liked them myself, like a GM told me, "they are violent" although there are those that disagree.

I bought a hundred batteries on ebay for dog bark collars. No, they weren't Duracell but I paid a hundred dollars for a hundred. The only problem was they were coated with a green plastic casing. Sat at home for a couple of hours with tweezers and a razor blade and stripped them. Nope, did not last as long as Duracell, but damn close. And I still have a box full from two years ago.
  6. someone told me today their barrel is setup for .355 9mm and they just purchased 4,000 rds of 9mmwith a diameter of .356. They wanted to know if .356 would harm their barrel. Thoughts? thanks
  7. wow, extremely nice and the price is off the wall. That is definately a work of art.
  8. I have 5 tuned mags from dawson and they run perfect. I have not had a jam, failure to feed, nothing. I can't recommend them enough. Have no experience with the superior, sorry
  9. I always spray one shot lube on my comp before I shoot. After shooting it makes it much easier to clean my comp. I also use it on my 22 open gun and it works great. I get a huge buildup of lead on my 22 comp.
  10. I have bought two open guns from dawson and both have have never given me any trouble. Ran right of the box the day I got them. I just ordered some new springs and such from them last week on line. I had them delivered to my house in two days. I sent them a thank you letter as everything I have ever ordered from them was delivered super fast. I also just gotr a killer deal on an edge from a local pawnshop for my grandson. I picked up a dawson tuned edge with five (5) tuned dawson mags for $899.00 plus tax. Awesome deal. The gun runs very smooth.
  11. i have used the lube one shot and had great success with it. I recently started using it on my 22 ruger open gun and it seems to be working once again. My 22 open get so much crap built up in it, hard to believe. It also gets real loud when those holes plug up. good luck
  12. I still find myself once in a while doing the "cmore" shuffle and see others doing the same thing, it happens. I have also done a lot of dry firing and also use my 22 open cmore alot. I also use my open 22 cmore alot. I use a 12 MOA, big dot on both my open guns.. I prefer this to the smaller dots, even for head shots it works fine.
  13. i have used mg for years and have great results with them. But that is not to say that berrys aren't any good because they are. I have used them for 3 years thru my grandsons9mm with not problems. I even tried some through my open gun to see if I could induce jacket speration. Not that I could tell after 200 rounds.
  14. My 9 yr old grandson shoots an xd9 and does a great job. Put a powder river trigger in it and it works great. Mags are everywhere, sporting goods, gunshows. Picked up three mags off of craigslist for $40.00 recently. Deals are out there. Great shooting gun.
  15. I use a buffer wheel and compound for the outside and tumbler for the inside. I just got a killer deal on an sti edge and five tuned dawson mags, 40 S&W, for $899.00 plus tax at a local pawn shop. I am currently polishing the mags for my grandson as he wants to jump from his xd9 to limited. You can achieve an awesome finish with a wheel though
  16. I picked some frog lube up 3 months ago and it is amazing stuff. I have been a dedicated fan of CLP for years and have been running FL in my 38sc open gun and also my 22 open gun. Hard to keep those 22 open guns clean but this stuff is incredible. Much easier to wipe down. Works great.
  17. i took my open gun to the range and both mounts. Spent a couple of hours running drills with both 90 and 45, re zeroed them and reached the conclusion-90 all the way. Will never go back to 45.
  18. I had that problem and switched my module out and corrected the problem. But cant say thats whats wrong with yours though.
  19. I got a whole box of them at fastenal here in the springs.
  20. I had my backup 38 SC open converted to 9 major. Practiced for about 6 months with it. Thought I would leave my brass and wouldnt have to pick it up. Cheaper to shoot also. Just converted it back to 38 SC and will stay with it. My 38 SC is way more accurate. Will not go back to 9.
  21. i had a brazos, ran great, didnt like the popple holes, very reliable, digested everything. I have an svi that is as reliable as a glock. Feeds everytime and been beat to death. I also have an open gun built at barsto that is just incredible. I had steve moore in denver go through them and work his magic and will never get rid of either gun. They are just incredibly reliable and accurate. My barsto was a little to heavy and steve lightened it and the balance is perfect now.
  22. Make sure that there is absolutely no lubricate in the screw holes, i blow it out with air first.
  23. 38sc mag,its new but have a problem. When it gets down to 3 bullets left it jams. The bullet is nose up against the top of the chamber. It only does it when I get down to 3 bullets. The follower was sticking but fixed that and it isn't as bad as it is every other time i shoot now. ASnyone have any ideas?? thanks
