I have started shooting a brazos race gun (awesome gun) and have been using SR4756-8.3 gr with zero bullets. I am usingWSR primers and am experiencing failure to ignite of about 1 out of 20 primers. It appears that the firing pin is striking the primers fairly decent. I fire them a second time and they always ignite. Anyone help me with a possible solution? thanks
i read somewhere last year that some people run unto this if they tumble there bullets after loading them to clean them. The article stated certain powders have a coating on them and the vibrations can actually wear the coating down on the powder which can create additional sparks.
I just set upa dillon pressin .38 super for my recently acquired brazos open. I am using zero bullet, 124 gr-fmj, with imr 4756, starting at 8.2 grains. What oal would you recommend, i am thinking around 1.240 any other tips appreciated. thanks
I have an open gun just bought from a friend and have 3 boxes of x-treme 9mm copper plated bullets. Does anyone know if these will fire through a .38 super gun okay? I have montana gold on the way but wanted to use these up first. thanks, lot of knowledge on this sight, impressive.
I have purchased a brazos bcg pro series in .38 super comp from a friend and I am told to start with about 8.2 gr IMR 4756. Loading so much powder creates a lot of pressure, how can that be safe to shoot? thanks
