The saddest part of the whole affair. The camerama, er camera person made absolutely no effort to walk up the road a 100 feet and warn oncoming motorists. No, it was more important to get the "Funniest Home Videos" which almost became the "Goriest Home Videos" when the young woman who bailed out of her car was almost caught between her car's back bumper and the next oncoming, er incoming car. 3. OK, we watched Stephen Chow's "Kung Fu Hustle". Sadly I think it's only available in English subtitles, but it really didn't seem to interfere with the movie. This is a 1940's gangster take off with flying Kung Fu masters, a couple of snappy dance numbers, great characters, and enough Road Runner/Coyote, and Tom & Jerry touches to please just about any adolescent, er audience. I especially liked the 'Landlady' she's a classic! Hair always in rollers, cigarette dangling from the corner of her mouth, house coat, fuzzy pink slippers. The 'Barber' with half of his butt always hanging out of his pants was also pretty good. It's worth the price of admission just for the knife throwing scene where every blade seems to wind up sticking in the hero. Keep an eye out for the snakes as well. Three and a half thumbs up! So now I have to find Chow's other movies "God of Cookery" and "King of Comedy" Nolan
  4. Go with the SnugLid and the BedRug carpet liner. The SnugLid comes off very easy, it's held on with 2 tabs at the front and a pair of pins through the gas shocks. 2 people can remove it in less than a minute. The BedRug is very durable, I've had mine in the truck for 5 years and it still looks almost new. Get the SnugLid with 2 locks then add a tailgate lock to your truck and it is very secure. If they can't see what's in there, the crooks won't take the time to bust in. Nolan
  5. We just watched a very funny Chinese movie last night called "Shaolin Soccer" by Stephen Chow. Don't worry it has english, french and cantonese versions, plus sub-titles. I wish I spoke or read all three languages because I'm pretty sure what was said and written was pretty different in each language. It sure seemed like there was quite a bit of "Kung Pow", "Mystery Science Theatre" and "What's Up Tiger Lily?" going on in the translations. It's a modern day soccer movie with a good Kung Fu twist. Good photography, and moderately good special effects, but the cast of characters is great! My favorites were Iron Head and the Mechanic. Tonight we're going to watch another Stephen Chow movie called "Kung Fu Hustle" The trailer showed some great photography, better than most of what's coming out of Holelywood lately. Nolan

  7. I'm curious how close other shooters classifications are. At my best, my Open and Limited classifications were .093% apart with my Open score the highest. Unfortunately I've let my Limited classification percentage slip a bit so now the difference is 1.349%. I really need to shoot some more classifiers in Limited 10 (I've only shot the minimum 4) because I suck in Limited 10! Nolan

  10. Erik, If my ex had seen that knife rack, it would have had a place of honor in her kitchen and my name all over it! Fortunately all of the knives would have been dull, but that's another story. Nolan

  13. An ironic moment last night. Channel 2 news here in the SF Bay area was airing it's teaser spot just before the 10 o'clock news. It was a short clip of Hunter S. Thompson blasting something on his fireplace mantel with a scoped Thompson Contender. They showed the clip several times, but I never did quite manage to find out what or why he was shooting inside his house. But wait, Thompson shooting a Thompson wasn't the ironic moment. I was completely blasted on pain killers and the room was just starting a slow spin! Ahh the marvels of modern medicine Nolan Awww shjt! I just read the reports about Hunters suicide. Well now I know why they were showing that particular clip. Nolan ps. the pain has subsided considerably and swelling has gone down so my knee is only the size of a small watermelon so I'm cutting back on the pain medication.
  14. Geoff, My 38 Super which has about a bzillion rounds through it shoots the Montana Gold 115 grain JHP better than any other bullet I've ever tried and I have tried a bunch of them. Group size at 25 yards is literally half the size of any other bullet. I have not shot any of the Montana Gold FMJs so I would recommend just buying a small sample of each and trying them because as we all know: "All guns are different and Your Mileage may Vary!" Nolan

  23. If you like giving Karma a helping hand? Load up some primed squib (dummy) rounds with some nice lethal looking hollowpoint bullets. Place them with your stored firearms in a plastic case labeled: Armor Piercing Terminators So if some scumbags steal the gun they take the dummy ammo and hopefully will try using it. Ahh, I can just see it now. Scumbag loads stolen gun with "Magic" ammo. Scumbag points stolen gun at Police Officer and pulls the trigger "Pifssst!" which will be the last and loudest sound the Scumbag ever hears! Nolan
