I've posted this before, but the Montana Gold 115 grain JHP is the single most accurate bullet I've ever fired out of my 38 Super Open gun. I've tried a lot of bullets and the MG is the most accurate in my gun with any powder that I've tried. Nolan

My first experience with gen-u-wine home cooked Thai food caused my ears to actually pop! Mona cooked a Prawn dish with rice and it tasted so goooooddddd! Then it started to get pretty warm, but I kept eating, then it was getting pretty hot. At that point why quit, your mouth isn't going to quit burning just because you stop eating, so I kept eating and then it got really HOT! About this time I noticed a buzzing in my ears. Seriously, my ears were buzzing and then POP! Of course Mona thought that was pretty funny. Nolan

UHaul prices it's one way rentals by the number of vehicles in the destination city. Phoenix has an excess number of vehicles so they charge extra to leave one there. Check Scottsdale or Tucson, unload the UHaul in Phoenix and then drop it off in Tucson, etc... Nolan

Is this the same spring you use with the standard length firing pin? The XL firing pin shouldn't change the required spring length. I have to shorten the spring in my SV regardless of firing pin. Nolan

Oops, my bad. Yes, the extended firing pin protrudes from the breachface with the Hammer down. Johnny's (LimCat) extended firing pin will fit the SV Interchangeable Breachface. Zak, you can carefully turn the firing pin down so it will fit breachface retaining screw using sandpaper/emory cloth if you're patient. Nolan

Nope, Me and Shirley don't jest! Maybe it's just better in my memory, but my mouth waters at the thought of a big Diamondback fillet grilled with garlic butter, a big pinch of salt and some green onions! Nolan (2 hours 'til dinner!) -

While I don't dream of going to school nekkid! I did have the occasional dream of being in school wearing only my tighty whiteys! My worst shooting nightmares involve the gun (generally a revolver) not going bang no matter how hard I pull the trigger. Pre-Match nightmares generally involve not bringing a gun or leaving the gun at the range! Oh wait, that's really happened! Nolan

Only downsides, on some guns it may be necessary to fit/swap firing pin stops so the firing pin doesn't protrude past the breachface at rest. Keep a close watch on the firing pin spring length and (THIS IS NOT FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE!) do not drop a loaded gun even with the safety on. The extended firing pin is virtually resting on the primer! Nolan

Buy lots of cheap white poker chips. I use them for 'steel' plate racks. I mounted a bunch of clothes pins to a 2x4 and use the clothes pins to hold the poker chips. The down side, the poker chips explode when hit with the airsoft! I thought about making a motorized Texas star but lack the motivation to torture myself. Nolan ps, buy the black airsoft pellets. I find myself visually tracking the light colored pellets instead of the sights.

Aiyeeeee! As I scrolled down while reading your post the DQ photo appeared and for a moment............. I thought I knew where this post was heading! Thank goodness I was wrong. It could have been worse, John Hurd could have been correct and that was the "Wendy's" finger (complete with fingernail) or you could have gotten that "DQ" at the match! Nolan -
Actually I think he endorses VATO ZONE Here in San Jose, I go to my favorite auto parts store "Winchester Auto Parts" Nolan

Several years ago at our local indoor PPC league match the owner of a local sporting goods/gun store joined our league. After the first course of fire he's feeling pretty good about his score, so he dumps the empties out of his revolver, closes the cylinder and SPINS the gun twice as he holsters. His response, "What!?! It's empty!" Nolan

Where is Erik Warren?
Nolan replied to short_round's topic in Miscellaneous Topics That Do Not Fit in Any Other Forum
Yes, if enough sick minds have the same imaginary figmentation he really exists. At least in said sick minds, but only when not in a different country! Nolan -
Not to thread jack! Brandon Lee was killed when a blank was fired, but he was killed by a bullet that had been stuck in the barrel. The Director of the movie fired the gun wrangler because the gun wrangler thought some of the gun play was too dangerous and wouldn't do what the Director wanted. So the Director took over the gun wrangling. He wanted a scene where the camera looked down the barrel of the revolver and you could see the hollowpoint bullets in the chambers and the cylinder rotate as the trigger was pulled. Sooo he just pulled the bullets out of live ammo, dumped out the powder and re-seated the bullets in the primed cases! You can guess what happened next. The scene was filmed and nobody noticed that one of the 'dummy' rounds was missing a bullet. Then the gun was loaded with blanks and the rest is sad history. John Eric Hexum killed himself by accident by sticking a gun loaded with blanks against his head and pulling the trigger. Evidently he was clowning around, stuck the gun to his head and probably said something to the effect of "Hey Y'all watch this!" As for the DEA agent, he may not be the greatest firearms safety instructor, but maybe he's good at the rest of his job. He certainly looks and sounds as if he could play the roles required in drug busts. Then again if the DEA is assigning him speaking engagements in schools..... Nolan
