  1. 1x3 weaver is probibally the best bang for the buck by far under 300. The Millett is also nice but not as good of glass as the weaver. Have you figured in the mount cost also? Not many options under 300 bucks
  2. If the pretravel is removed its not legal. If you still have all the pretravel and the long trigger pull its legal.
  3. The way this one was, the drop turner took time to drop(rear falling poppers) and was pretty quick once it did turn. Hitting the 3 steel fast was the way to go. I finished a good bit better than I should have based on class doing it that way.
  4. For the distances we shoot around here, the cheapest stuff I can find is what I use.
  5. Silver creek is a nice range. You sign in at the clubhouse which is the first building you hit by the trap field. You get your score sheet and all that then drive down the hill to the range. . Silver creek puts on a good match.
  6. They changed that stage I believe due to a similar one being well gamed in the past
  7. I wish my vehicle would last. My 2008 has over 140K miles on it alaredy
  8. Mine runs a 10 pound recoil spring. You will see anything from usually 9-11 or 12 pounds for the recoil spring. It really just depends on the feel you like of the gun. For recoil, your loads can make a big difference. Some like the slower 147 grain which has less felt recoil but can seem sluggish. Others like the snap of the 115 or 124 grain bullets. For the money I would avoid the recoil master.
  9. Duke getting knocked out alaredy made the UK win even nicer
  10. I run the shotgun caddies in the front on an as needed basis. If not needed, they are off the belt. I shoot a limited gun so usually just 2 spare pistol mags max ie one more than needed for stage. For the rifle mag, I run an extended mag so either have the spare way in the back or just toss one in the back pocket in case the on in the gun messes as I use a mag long enough to prevent reloading the rifle
  11. run the dawsons on mine. all are a reloadable 20
  12. what are the classifiers being shot? have to decide what gun to bring out
  13. when it wasnt "cocked" did you press check the gun?
  14. My 9mm runs a 10 pouund. If I try a heavier spring i get all kinds of problems
  15. For 3 gun I would load the pistol mags up and run 2 pistol and 1 rifle. A single mag with the extention on it will give you a nice start mag for most stages.
  16. I had a similar problem with the caspian splitting at the Striker hole. Tried a lone wolf no problem
  17. Well there is the super gooey pad which is even softer. On those pads the mount is a one shot deal so no moving it around on the sholder. Shout with a guy who did that alot and he was wearing pads out VERY often
  18. What pistol are you using? Unless its a SS which will hurt in anything but HM, You can use less pistol mags on the belt. For the rifle, 1 extra should be fine just get an extended mag and never reload on the stage unless its a failure. For shotgun shells, they make an 8 round that is like a double stack 4 which takes the same space as a 4 shell. I usually run 20 round mags for 3 gun and usually carry 1 extra so a max of 2. Shell holders installed as needed. For the rifle I have an extended mag that is a 45 rounder so have never had to reload for the stage. Extra mag is shoved in the back pocket just as an emergency mag if i have a jam that takes the mag in the gun out of operation which I have not had yet. You just don't have the space on the belt to hold a ton of extra so thinning it out is the way to go.
  19. Beltman for me as well. You basically select hardware, length, holes, width and all that. They are stiff and hold up well. Mine has been used daily for 5+years now. Do need to get it adjusted some since I have run out of holes in the good way and needed to punch some new ones. Sending mine back in to be shortened but it hasnt worn out yet
  20. So by that token is every shooter that shoots production or SS now shooting when at unload and show clear they drop the mag, shove it in the front pocket, and then rack the slide?
  21. They work fine as do the Vanek and GlockTriggers. Is this a limited, lim 10, open gun? The fulcrum and some of the other ones are not production legal
  22. For the gun to fit correctly, your gonna need different holsters
  23. Have the landsharks here and they work fine. Not usually needed but we have a couple stages(1 in particular) that is a total mud pit if it has been wet at all out. Nice to be able to throw the mud covered shoes in a bag in the trunk and not have to worry about mud all over
