    glock modded

I would say just buy the gun and order the trigger and place it in yourself. A good vanek or "glocktriggers"(both vendors on this sight) make a drop in kit. Just make sure you ask for the correct one if production is your goal(if it has the pretravel removed, its not production legal). I also like the one with a jager extended tip striker. You can just order than and install it yourself and have no problems. It really is simple to put in and can be done with a 3/32 punch, and maby a tiny flat head screwdriver. Total time to install the trigger about 5 minutes. New sights are also a nice thing to have. I always liked the dawson adj rear and the thin FO front
  2. What they would do at the skeet match was place stickers on bumpers in the parking lot. Then just hit the resteraunts, hotels etc later and have at it. There are alot of trunks at those matches with 10K+ in the back and that is just a solo shooter. When I was in college, we shot the ACUI nationals down there. One year alone, one teams school provided vehicle had the locks torn up to get into the vehicle. Another school had a trailer. They chose to rip the hinges off a door of the trailer instead of cutting the lock. Luckily nothing was taken in either of them. Hope he gets his gun back.

    glock modded

What are you wanting modified on your gun? That is good way for people to help you out better.
  4. Tried some rio shells a while ago and found they hung more than the american made shells. Have you checked the gas ports to make sure they are clear?
  5. I just didnt think the alumagrips had much bite to them when I had them.
  6. For a black finish, the atranite finish freedom gunworks does is nice he has photos of it in the vendor section and it is very black
  7. Dont own a 308 rifle for the division and the ammo cost gets up there. Cant justify buying one for the couple matchs a year I might shoot
  8. I would say ammo. Glocks do not blow up all the time like you hear sometimes. If your shooting factory ammo, it is even more rare. If something does break on a glock, parts ar avaliable cheap and are easily installed. There really is nothing on a glock that can not be swapped out on the range in under 5 min with a 3/32 pinpunch and a tiny flat head. A backgup gun is nice but on a glock I would pass and go with ammo.
  9. same here with the 3gun. We love it
  10. I use a shooters connection one one mine. It is just a round button but is big.
  11. Just hope if he takes up gun modeling he dosent let it get to his head. Guy was a shooting shirt model and you should have heard him brag. You would have thought he made the cover of GQ lol
  12. With a weak mag spring, it will typically lay the shell on the carrier and not close up since it dosen't push the shell out quick enough to trip the lever. First thing I would check is make sure the chamber is clean. An old brush with steel wool wrapped around it on a drill in the chamber, or a good chamber brush can clean the chamber. Are the Rios still made with the higher brass like they use to be? Are the bases actual brass or brass plated steel (magnet test) I would also try a box of remington STS 1 1/8 3 dram. Typically that round will feed and eject the best with the smooth case.
  13. What kind of shells are you using. I have seen some of the cheap ones stick more in the chamber which can cause it to have ejection problems. Making sure the chamber is clean can fix it. I have seen it quite a bit with the winchester 4pack the worse
  14. Doing SS minor this year. Just shoot th 9mm quicker and more accurate than I do the 45 with 195PF factory ammo.
  15. Look under the vendor section for freedomgunworks. Bobby is great to talk to and will get it done right. Just let him know what your looking for or any ideas and he can make it happen. He has my STI slide right now getting tritopped(wont work on a glock). He is also doing something similar to a hipower cut with gills on it. Thumb through his links at the stuff he has done for the 1911/2011 Will definately come out looking much better than a drill press job
  16. Very easy to do. Remove stock. Depress plunger, pop out pin and the spring comes out. Watch out because it can come out with some force.
  17. Have you tried adjusting the eye piece
  18. At 1 hit on steel for Major and 2 for minor, once you start getting distance it will really put the minor guys in the hole. You alaredy are shooting minor on paper targets so less points. In pistol, do you require minor guys hit a piece of steel twice? Major is basically dead in 3gun with the exceptiion of HM. I would guess in non HM probibally 95+percent of the guys are shooting minor. If someone wants to shoot a major PF rifle there is always HM where everyone has one run it in the other classes like the AMU guys are doing and get the extra points on paper
  19. I say it would heavily favor the major caliber rifles and the farther out the shot, the more it would favor them.
  20. Is it a 357mag? Not very common but there were some made
  21. Have one on my SBR and havent had a bit of a problem with mine. I run it pretty far forawad on the rail, the 2nd notch I believe since the front of the mount shows no extra slots. The stock position on mine is the 2nd notch. I did have to adjust the scope to my eyes but now that its set its crystal clear. My reticle is the crosshair reticle. Mine is set for a 50yard zero. On the close hosing targets, I have never had a double vision. On mine, it is amazing up close and gets used pretty frequently on the clubs rifle stages when its an up close hosing stage.
  22. I would say the SVI is more online with the other custom builders. STI is a factory gun. SVI like the other custom builders you can have it built how you like it. STI you buy the gun and have it modified how you want it. As it shows on most of the threads, it is all personal oppinion and what works best for one isnt the best for all. Some like a very heavy full dustcover gun, others like a gun as light as possible. You can get all the opinons out there but have to just see what feels best for you. Some like blonde, others brunette
  23. Some people arn't too bright. My guess would be either he was stupid and thought he would have to pay a deductible to fix my car or B was just aftaid to tell mom/dad what happened and figured he could bs something to make him look good
