  1. Great match. Goal was 90% of the points. I hit like 88%. 3 mikes put me under the 90%. I guess it was better than py last matches points.
  2. Does anyone know where to get the COM holster other than direct from COM. They have a pretty good backlog now
  3. He dosent want exposed lead at the base
  4. you forgot about the "blind stage" they shoot you with pepperspray at make ready. Wearing a Duke shirt is also not allowed per rule 5.3.1
  5. 40 minor tends to work best at 135-140 PF
  6. I like the 20+1 for the majority of my shooting. I have some stock mags with dawson guts that are 18 rounds that I occasionally use. The 22 round Specialty mag is nice for those times where it matters but I wouldnt use it for my everyday mag especially in a rescomp tube
  7. federal is the best Cheap ammo out there
  8. multi-tasking at its finest
  9. +1 on the RI tactical or if you can swing a little extra the STI spartan. If it were me, I would go with the spartan for the little extra. STI parts which are top notch, ADJ sight, FO front. 45 will allow you to shoot major. 9MM is minor but allows 2 extra rounds. If your buying factory especially, 9mm is MUCH cheaer than 45 acp. Reloading helps take some of the sting out of the 45ACP and allows you to load closer to the 170PF range than the 190+ of factory 45. If your reloading and looking for major I would say 45. If your buying factory and dont have a big ammo budget, I say get the 9mm and work on your A's and have fun doing so for less money. On the mags, the 45 mags can be had cheaper than the 9mm mags. The CMC 45 mags are probibally the best value out there in mags for the 1911. Work very well for less than the wilson/tripp mags. Shootersconnection also carries the STI spartan as well. Both are good companies to buy from.
  10. From7 to when ever AT gets tired of dealing with people :-)! So about 715 then

    How much?

If they really wanna pay, lunch after the match is always a good jesture. Your not really taking their money, and they feel like they gave you something for your time. Kinda like the customary, a gunsafe move paid for in beer
  12. Most people go with the 17 for a glock open gun
  13. Last I checked howard hasnt done them for a while
  14. Has anyone shot the stock trubor and matchmaster without any additional slide lightening done to them? I was curious which of the two shot flatter. I am primarily looking for flatter the flatter gun regardless of how it hits the hand. I tried out a shorty before and didn't mind the hit in the hand and it had minimal dot movement. Just figured I would ask if the extra slide weight of the trubor causes it to flip up more than the shorter one?
  15. There are plenty of experienced shooters shooting production as well as some new shooters shooting Limited and open. It really depends on just the person and what division they feel like shooting in. Production and SS are usually the cheapest to get into as you can get pretty competative setups for just a few hundred bucks ie glock 17/34, STI spartan etc.
  16. I'm sure a few will be cheering for U of L too! Whos that? UofL is the team we are gonna beat lol
  17. put one of the factory springs back in and see how it works. I would add the factory trigger spring back if you have a lightened striker or the striker spring if its a factory striker
  18. custom .115 black front with the adj dawson rear
  19. I run the walmart FEDERAL value pack 1 1/8 oz 3 dram. Mine feeds the 1 oz loads as well. For buckshot, I use the federal low recoil
  20. Going the 9mm route on my first one mainly due to brass cost. I can get 9mm brass for dirt cheap.
  21. It will increase the pattern some but honestly there is no magic shell out there. The only way to really improve the hit probability is to practice shooting targets that are not stationary. Especially on the moving stuff concentrate on the target not the gun or the sight.
