Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Ask the smith what brass he was using for testing. 9mm brass can very quite a bit in the rim area.
  2. Give brazos a call, they had some at their booth during the Florida open Where in NY are you?
  3. I would send to a good gunsmith and have it fixed. Brazos, Bedell, Freedom, etc. they will have that running a 100 percent in no time.
  4. I fellow shooter passed on and I was lucky enough to recieve probably 1500 pieces of starline supercomp brass and 700 loaded rounds of loaded 38sc with 9.5 grains of w571. Bullets are 124jhp. Pulled round and grains are spot on. Everything is well labeled. Would this be a ok practice load for my bedell open pistol?
  5. Nothing will take your mind off it. Trust me I know!! You will catch your self thinking about it during the whole day. I was even thinking about it when having fun with the lady at home! Just get out and shoot a different division and pretend its you behind the pistol.
  6. The bullet feeder is ok. Mine took some tweaking with sand paper and a dremel to drop .40 bullets and not get hung up in the spring tube. It will not work with lead bullets. The collets will not allow a bullet to drop on a case because lead bullets are a bigger dia. If i didn't have a cabelas credit and got the bullet feeder free withe the points, I would be a little disappointed with it. It works, but usually just sits there because i'm loading moly bullets, or switching calibers and dont feel like setting it up.
  7. Chris g161 If you can ever make it up to the Binghamton, ny area. I'll let you shoot my Bedell. We go to square deal club once every couple months. Chris
  8. I just had a Bedell build me a gun. The thing is great, plus being in New York you can go pick it up and ask him a ton of questions in person like I did! Plus, if you want anything changed or have some sort of problem, you can drop it off to him.
  9. Check out Grizzly tools. They have some really nice woood working benches.
  10. hi its fritz_the_moose@gmx.net. Thx a lot for the pic

  11. I had the same problem with mine, so i put a small plastic wiper inside of the bowl near the drop tube. It would knock off cases that were between the bowl and the case that had dropped into the case shell plate. This solved the hang up on the left side of the case feeder drop window. If you send me your email i'll send you a pic. I cant post pics yet. Chris
  12. Have a new open pistol coming, but can't make any ammo for it. Reason??? Nobody has a Hornaday 9mm shell plate. Every place I looked on the web has them backordered. Midway has an expected date of July 16th. This really sucks!! chris
  13. I need to start reloading 38 super comp what dies do you recommend. Also, what hornaday lnl shell plate fits the 38 supercomp? Is it the 9mm number 8?
  14. Thanks for the all the info. I have to just sit down and think over the pros and cons. Sounds like the .38 is a better round, but 9mm has the Convenience of cheap brass. Now I just have to decide!!
