  1. so i guess if i shoot a 3 gun match up there I just need to bring my SBR lower and slap my regular upper on it as the ATF states the gun is an SBR regardless of barrel length bring my proper paperwork with me and slap the 30+ rounder in
  2. The slide is where the weight is removed since it is mass that is moving vs mags that's not like the frame and guiderod
  3. Same tube. The sti 9mm mag has a polymer spacer and a 9mm follower
  4. I say keep the barrel the regular length and just add the tube way out there. The extra length if the barrel isn't really an issue and I am at least a fan of the extra sight radius
  5. http://www.nssa-nsca.org/index.php/2013/03/mayes-making-progress-still-critical/ Wayne has heavy burns due to a gunpowder incident and is now in critical condition. Lets wish him a speedy recovery. Mr Mayes is basically the tgo of the skeet world
  6. Have you checked to make sure your grip screws are tight
  7. The balance and weight is pretty much preference. I generally like a heavier gun that's a little nose heavy as I come from a skeet shooting background where I shot a 11.5 pound nose heavy krieghoff for me at least that works better. If you want a more neutral balance your only real options are lighten the barrel/foreend or ass weight to the stock.
  8. If you lighten the stock the gun feels more nose heavy as the weight came off the back of the gun. In order for the gun to balance the balance point goes forward to allow more weight to go behind the original balance point. If you want the barrel to feel lighter and balance closer to the magwell you want a heavier stock. For stock length with both a rifle and a shotgun set it for where it feels comfortable to you as a shooter and your paticular style. The loo in the entry stock is extremely short and is similar to a 6 position one position out. A Standard a2 stock will put a little more weight in the stock and the magpul prs will add alot more but make for a pretty heavy rifle

Depending on the store the avaliability can be a big reason for costs going up. When stuff was readily avaliable the store could move through their inventory and replace it as needed. Now with most stuff allocated and the smaller places getting basically nothing they are often having to go through unconventional sources to get stuff and pay their expenses with less inventory so prices go up unless the place does alot of volume it's probibally a daily struggle for them to have stuff to sell at all as its the big places that are getting the vast majority if the product out there and even more if the good stuff
  10. The weight difference isn't bad but I'm one who likes a heavy gun coming from my skeet days
  11. The smaller the dot the better if you are shooting at distance especially. On close stuff not a big deal
  12. There really isn't a need to change the guiderod out as they work just fine.
  13. The thin grips work with the msh and do require sl grip screws and bushings
  14. Or buy 2 safes as opposed to one monster might be the way to go also. Makes moving it much easier than the huge ones and you have less concerns over the weight while moving it around etc.
  15. I am going to disagree on unsafe gun handling as he was not handling the gun per the uspsa definition of handling ---The act of manipulating, holding, or gripping a firearm while the trigger is functionally accessible. While not a good situation the rule quoted does not fot the definition Any rifle stage where the shooter has the handgun shot leads its self to the shooter going prone with the handgun hot and have shot plenty of matches where it could be done and has been done
  16. Kyguncoat does a nice job also
  17. Not a small guy and the half inch spacers make a big difference. It makes the gun very easy to get to no run the production holster the same offset but not dropped as I feel its easier to get to than the doh mount
  18. And 2 inches offset is quite a bit I have half inch spacers in mine and am still not at the limit
  19. Inner belt as shown in your rule book picture.
  20. As far as race holsters the cr speed would be at the bottom of my Los as far as security. If you use it go locked as running it unlocked is just asking for it to fall out. Even in a pistol match unless its stand and draw I start with my raceholster which is a racemaster locked. The cr a good jolt to the rear is easy to sent the gun flying
  21. If the 180 applies to a holstered handgun then how is a shooter going to go prone with a loaded gun as that is gonna be way past 180
  22. If you want a 17 pound spring just keep the factory one as it works just fine
