  1. The dot covers help some but if its a small dot it will happen. The 8 is hard to glare out and the 12 I don't see the sun ever glaring out
  2. So after having some issues due to weak springs over the weekend I called the manufacture to order some extra springs for their 22 mags. Nope, they don't sell them at all ad told me to just buy new mags. It is just nuts to expect someone to throw out something that is a perfectly good item and replace it because you choose not to sell a 3 buck spring that is a common thing to wear out and get replaced
  3. The standard clays work just fine They are cheaper than the other clays since they are produced in vast numbers. I really don't see clay target manufactures making a new nitch target for 3 gun as we just wouldnt buy enough of them to make it worth while and it would be more expensive due to the lower quantity produced. the standard targets are as cheap as they are because of the volume they produce of them and really has no impact on the amount of material involved in each as the other sporting clays targets are more more expensive even it mini and midi

    No Choke?

It showed only one extended tube so your not sure if the other was flush. There really is not need to shoot threads though. If your worried about trying to get that tiny bit bigger pattern then maybe you need to hit the range and practice a little more where you don't need to even consider it
  5. I agree in this time your best bet is to wait for stuff as thats the quickest way to get it.

    24 or 35?

If your looking to trick it out may as well get the frame alone and add the lonewolf too end as that's probibally the easiest way to get one right now

    24 or 35?

Build mine as a 24 with a lonewolf slide and like the extra length. It's a nice addition to my 6 in 2011
  8. If the mags are not date stamped how would one know when they were purchased
  9. I say no DQ especially if the slide is locked back. Even disassembling some guns to work on them your definitely sweeping yourself especially with a 2 piece guide rod.
  10. Like the jäger here. At least in mine it feels crisper than the glock work
  11. I think the tough stuff come back when you have legal gear is a very poor way to grow the sport. There is a difference in the guy who shoots all the time wanting to shoot an "illegal" gun and a new guy coming out to try it out with what he has and being told sorry can't shoot your gun doesn't fit the bill. The difference is IDPA has no "catch all" division like USPSA where if someone brings it out there is some place for them to shoot. A guy brings his compact glockC out in uspsa he gets to shoot the match in open due to the compensated barrel and will usually be told if you wanna shoot production you can get a non compensated lone wolf barrel for 100 bucks and are good to go. Or the guy comes out with his springfield 1911 with the 5 inch bull barrel In USPSA he gets to shoot in Limited 10. By the Strict rules in IDPA he goes away doesn't shoot and tells others what a bunch of jerks they are for sending him packing and refusing to let him shoot. If we want to grow the sport turning away shooters is not the way to do it. Lump them in a fun category etc and let them try it out. If they decide they like it after a couple matches then they will work on getting their gear made compliant to the sport. Not trying to start a USPSA vs IDPA thing
  12. Dawson, arredondo, or the new taran tacticals are nice. You could probably get by with a couple mag extensions and have 23 rounds in the mag.
  13. If I use the big stick it USUALLY is the one I start with as I load the 140s easier. I have started with a 140 and loaded to the big stick on occasion if the layout dictates it ie 3 targets from the get go then a good distance and then a hose fest from then on out. I did load to the 170 this past week as it allowed me to drop the 140 early on dry ground and not reload later where it was total mud
  14. The only problem I see with their limits is they are often one item or very low on the ammo that while the intentions are good to prevent someone from buying it all to throw it in armslist etc it makes the items almost as expensive after you ship the item as you can't spread the shipping out more than usual.
  15. It depends on what you want with the gun. The difference in infinity and the others is infinity will use only their parts on the gun. You want something else that is not their part tough luck so in my mind they are not a true custom I know freedom and the other places have their preferred parts they like to use but if you want something else its your gun and they build it how you want it.
  16. Cheely shorty works good in the right side. I run one one mine as a right handed shooter due to the setback mount and it works well
  17. Go with the race master setup. Holster is solid and easy to draw with. The els belt is good for using the brackets and swapping stuff on and off but for a rig that's setup and left its not needed.
  18. Run a bladetech offset holster here for single stack. It is a bladetech stingray with the fixed width belt loop with longer screws and those 1 piece plastic shims between the holster and the bracket along with a tiny lock washer. It is solid and moves the holster away from the body while remaining legal for single stack
  19. For most criminals a regular winchester cannon etc safe in that range is adequate. The 100 buck ones are junk and can be popped oped in about 10 seconds max. The cannon level willll stop the majority of thieves as they want to be in and out.
