  1. I use a Dawson aluminum buffer in mine
  2. For open give up both the powder and the bullets Nd everything you know about production loads and start from scratch. For production heavy bullets And small amounts of fast burning usually work best. For open you need large amounts of slow powder and light bullets. The slow powder and Lot of it give you gas for the computer. More gas is better. Also you won't find 9 major loads in the book do you have to work up a d look for pressure signs. Autocomp and hs 6 Are good powders to use in the shorter open rounds which I would go 1.145 min and 1.155 is better. Also stick with cmj or Jhp bullets as plated lead and fmj don't work we'll at major. For autocomp a Montana gold 124 grain cmj with 6.8-7.1 will be the range most use at 1.15 but go low and work up
  3. Bunny fart loads that light don't always work the gun as reliable as a little bit hotter round. The one I'm talking about gets that 95 grain out there in the 1350 range so its still under 130 pf. Works the comp well so it feels very good and still runs the gun reliably and the slide has some speed so it dosent feel sluggish.
  4. I always liked the what's your best price for cash money like they think I will just drop the price like a rock for pleasure of getting handed over cash. That or when a price is marked shipped and its a pretty cheap item and get asked what's your ftf price when it would involve a 75 mile one way trip then they call you a scammer when you say not interested I would prefer to ship but I'm not driving 150 miles for a 40 buck sale I can ship for 5 bucks and then give it to you for less since I don't have to pay shipping yet drop 3.89 a gallon in gas
  5. There arnt local rules. If its something like the no reloads over the berm etc and uspsa will not grant a variance which they haven't been then sorry to say but the option is to give up the uspsa status and hold outlaw matches and make up whatever rules you want but it shouldn't be a uspsa match. Someone should be able to walk into any club in the country and shoot a uspsa match and be able to shoot the same way with the same rules. 3 gun does all sorts of outlaw matches which can sometimes lead to issues as while somewhat similar there are several different rules about what mags can or can't be used shotgun round count etc but if someone attends a match labeled as uspsa there should be zero confusion
  6. For static steel with no bullet weight min run a 95 grain bullet with a powder charge similar to a 124 grain. This will get the comp to work. Will be soft and flat and get the slide velocity where it dosent feel sluggish
  7. I like the Extreme Engineering stuff The are good hard parts that hold a trigger job well
  8. I would try the aftec first. My factory gun had all kinds of feeding and ejection problems where it was lucky to go a stage and not have a problem. Dropped the aftec in and that was all it took to run perfect I run an aftec in all my guns except for the 45s The 9mm is helped out the most by the aftec
  9. that OAL seems way on the short side. My 9mm ammo is loaded out to 1.17 OAL with a 124 grain bullet. How many rounds have you had through the gun? Mine had problems when I first got it feeding and extracting when i first got it. I placed an aftec in it and it runs perfect ever since
  10. I agree aftec can make a big difference. Also either a 90 degree mount or if you like the verticle and offset mount
  11. jager striker makes a big difference
  12. the dawson mag well and extensions fit the 24 just fine without fitting. the mag followers may require beveling that dave dawson has a video online showing that take a couple min a piece. this is needed if your having trouble loading the mags past 17-18 rounds
  13. 90 degree dosent need it as its not catching like it would on a ventricle
  14. Need one on mine with the setback mount so I run a cheely short one in the right side
  15. Was yours off a factory gun or one that was custom built
  16. Primary arms makes a good sight too that is similar to the aimpoint micro
  17. And just think that is probibally all tax free income that he is getting too.
  18. So do you do that to every shooter that has a singleammo problem?
  19. That shouldn't be too tough to have done in over a weeks time
  20. I run a std bladetech non drop offset for production and singlestack with Half inch plastic spacers between the holster body and bracket. I use a drill on the inside to the bladetech post fits inside the shim and add a tiny lock washer. It is within the 2 inches and I could have it even farther out
  21. It should be fine he is using a slide mount sight. The ones that do that don't usually have the issues frame mounted ones can have. Only work I had done to mine with the frame mount though is bad the ejection port lowered and the sjc mount put on since it didn't cost much and was easier than trying to install it myself and mess it up. Nothing was done to ejector or extractor and it runs perfect
  22. Really no need to buy new sti mags if you have 38 mags. The difference in 9mm and 38 mags is the 9mm mags have a spacer and use 9mm followers. The sti factory spacers are plastic but most people run the hardy metal spacers. It's easy to swap the parts in to make 9mm mags. I run my 9major with the spacer at 1.17 oal and it runs like a top. Bullets I have loads for both 115 and 124 so if bullets become hard to find I have others I can use. For me at least the 115 shoots a little flatter but the 124 is a little softer. Both work the comp well though
  23. 147 isn't a good bullet weight for open. In open 124 121 and 115 are the way to go as they need more powder which means more gas to work the comp
