  1. The DOH is a full length holster if ordered for the appropriate gun. The whole slide down to the end of the barrel will be covered if you order it for a 35
  2. I use both. If you use the 17 rounders unload them after you fire them and reload them every time. 11 in a mag at the start is a good trip to open
  3. The old factory glock sights were pinned on. The new one and aftermarked ones are screw on
  4. Why would you take the DOH off for production? The DOH is legal for every division except for singlestack
  5. Never seen a classic 2. The Classic is usually a series 1 gun from what I have seen. the II has the FP safety. Both can be good for single stack but the II has some extra parts in it for the FP safety which can removed as long as you do not shoot IDPA
  6. I would still probibally have a gun built up and have it how you want it. I would also make sure the gun is SS legal so you can crossover if you get the bug and around here at least SS has much more people than l10 by far. On front strap checkering, how aggressive do you like it. The trojan has a stippled grip which is not aggressive at all. The TRP has 20 LPI which is very aggressive. If you get like a spartan, you can pick what front strap checkering works best for you, get a dawson FO front, good techwell magwell and a good finish and have a good gun, the way you want it for less than the others cost
  7. Went with a bushing in the 6 inch gun which is currently out getting the slide lightened as we speak
  8. Never seen a quality product come from promag
  9. The Magwell in the first post is no go for production or idpa
  10. No, you can assemble your own ar15 without being in open
  11. Have one for mine. Buying the Die and the bulge buster is definately cheaper than the grx and mine works well
  12. Easy way to do it without wasting a ton of ammo. Use a huge backer with a target in the middle. Fire 1 shot, aimed at the center of the target. Then lock the gun in a vice, aimed at the same spot you aimed at originally. With the gun locked in place adjust the cross hair to the bullet then fine tune it.
  13. +1 on the steel challenge.
  14. +1 on skipping the race holster and buying a bladetech DOH. The DOH is less than half the cost of the race holsters. I would put a dawson extended base pad on at least 1 or even better 2 of the mags to take you to 20+1 and use that as your start mag. With the std 15+1 mags, the only way you will get through 2 whole 8 round arrays is going 1 for 1 and still ending up at slidelock. With a 32 round COF you can finish with 1 reload with the 20 rounders and still have extras if you need them and can plan the stage better. With the 15 rounders, your doing a minimum of 2 reloads with less options in your stage planning
  15. Or go watch a match with her so she can see that it is a safe and very supervised sport not just a bunch of idiots running around with guns.
  16. looks good, hopefully I will be able to swing it up there
  17. I would contact one of the larger clubs around. Most clays are delivered by the company selling them on their own truck so they usually want like 8-10 skid orders. If you have to pay to ship them it will kill you.
  18. I usually just use the last mag on the belt as a barney mag. I figure If I get to that point of neededing it something went very wrong and that extra round will not be needed any way. I do use a 10 rounder to start with as of recent in 9mm
  19. Actually had a guy do that around here at a skeet range with I believe it was a 28ga. Use to use old hulls for snap caps. Went into the club hous dropped 2 "snap caps" into the gun and set them both off into the floor(actually pulled the trigger twice)
