  1. 21.2b- Cuts that are designed to specifically or significantly lighten the slide, such as holes, are ruled as competitive advantage and prohibited 21.3- After-market slides and barrels – provided they are the same length, con- tour and caliber as original factory standard. You may replace the slide with an OFM or aftermarket slide which is of the same length, contour and caliber as the original slide for that model of gun. Guess the ability to use a 'milled' slide will depend upon your ability to convince the RM that you haven't changed the shape/contour of the slide.
  2. I have several of the ebay tool heads on my 650 and they work just fine. If you're looking for a compete caliber change-over (to include powder measure) setup, it may be more cost effective to pick-up the 'quick change' setup from Dillon. I have several tool heads setup like this. This allows me to have a 'set' configuration tool head/powder measure for my dialed in loads and another one to play around with.
  3. For limited division yes, production- no.
  4. In my experience CZs need to be loaded a bit shorter than most. I run BBI/Bayou 135s (9mm) at 1.08-1.09. While dropping the OAL may not be a big deal, I'd still chrono and test the new rounds just to be sure.
  5. Appendix D4 (Production) rule 21.6 Any other components which are externally visible may ONLY be replaced with OFM parts which are offered on the specific model of gun or another approved gun from the same manufacturer except as specifically clarified below. Examples of external components which may only be replaced with OFM parts include (but are not limited to): magazine releases, slide stops, thumb safeties and triggers. Since the S2 didn't ship with the 'pin', it can't be used in Production, even though it is provided with a factory (TSO) gun.
  6. Squib rod from muzzle end didn't do the trick on mine. I used a dental pick from breach end. After reading some posts on this, I believe a bore snake from the muzzle end would do the trick too. Hopefully I don't need to become an expert in extraction of separated cases :0
  7. About a low pro as you can get Slide/barrel pin from TSO
  8. Didn't realize this, thanks for pointing it out. OP- disregard those PN's. Sorry.
  9. TSOs have an adj. rear and I believe they take a slightly different (shorter if I"m remembering correctly) front because of this. The CM has a fixed sight which should be the same as TS. However as you've noticed, CM & TS don't come from the factory with FO front. Need to match the rear fixed with front FO from standard 75. I have a TSO in .40 and when the adj. rear came apart, I put on a standard TS fixed rear. When I did this, my front also needed to be changed out.
  10. 40309 FIBER OPTIC FRONT SIGHT 75 SERIES 1x7.50mm 40319 FIBER OPTIC FRONT SIGHT 75 SERIES 1.5x7.50mm Those are the CZ USA part numbers for the fiber front sight (7.5mm high) to use with the fixed rear sight. Just pick your rod diameter; 1mm or 1.5
  11. Here's some pictures of the separated case. Looks to me like it was just an old case and its time was up. Since I use these bullets in my CZ pistol, they are loaded short, to the tune of 1.080-1.090. I checked the barrel of the PCC, I was able to plunk/spin a 1.15 OAL round. I'm going to keep an eye on things in the short term to see if loading short in a barrel that doesn't require it could somehow be contributing towards the case failure.
  12. Went to the range today with the intent of sighting in my c-more on my new'ish PSA 9mm upper w/factory AR lower. I've put several hundred rounds through this lower without issue, today just wasn't my day. On round 13, the bullet wouldn't fully feed, preventing the bolt from fully closing. After I racked the round out and the next one did the same thing, I got a clue.....maybe there's another issue? Looking more closely at the chamber, I see the remains of the previous 9mm case still in the barrel. With no tools I'm done for the day. Take it home and was able to get the case out relatively easily with a dental pick. wondering if this was a fluke or did the factory 3oz buffer (bolt extracts case too quickly while fired brass has not contracted) contribute to the demise of the case?

    TS Orange

For sure. Have them on my .40 TSO BTW, I love the simplicity and tool-less disassembly of the CZC basepads
  14. I have a CR speed rig setup for the CZ75 platform. No issues.

    CZ Newb

As you've probably noticed, it has a very light trigger. Put a couple hundred rounds through it to get yourself adjusted to the trigger pull. Enjoy!
  16. I think what Mike is trying to say is that one should not focus on centering/aligning the dot within the optic, rather look at the target, with the dot on target.
  17. OP- Glad to hear that your initial range run went well. Low/left could be the pistol or the shooter 'milking' the grip. Happens more often with new glock shooters (ask me how I know ) however something to consider. Ya never mentioned, or I quite possibly missed the post, what your shooting intentions are for this pistol... Range tool or competition gun?
  18. For that price I'd get a dedicated lower and be done with it
  19. Very nice! Get some trigger time on it and report back
  20. The S2 is setup pretty good out of the box. I'd put some Lok grips on it and call it a day. If you want to tinker, think about installing a 10x barrel bushing from CGW. BTW, if you don't use/want the wide safety that comes with the S2, shoot me a PM. I'm looking to pickup another one.
  21. I have purchased several new after market tool heads for my 650 from Ebay. They will run you about $20/shipped today, as compared to $30 + shipping from Dillon. Never had a problem with the after market ones. Now keep in mind I don't reload for bullseye. For caliber conversions or just ease of switching powder and/or bullets, I have separate tool heads setup with dies and powder funnel and powder drop for the calibers I reload/tinker with frequently. If you go this route, it makes sense to purchase the quick change kit from Dillon (or Grafs) which includes: Powder die, powder measure, tool head and stand for $112. Enjoy!

    2 CZ questions

Since we are on the subject- Rule 10.5.9 implies use of the decocking lever is acceptable. However Appendix D4 (Production Division) states that external hammers must be fully decocked. The term 'fully' to me implies that half-cock (or some other position but full down) is not acceptable. Thoughts? 10.5.9 Failure to keep the finger outside the trigger guard during loading, reloading, or unloading. Exception: while complying with the “Make Ready” command to lower the hammer of a gun without a decocking lever, or while initially loading a revolver with a spurless hammer. Appendix D4- Handguns with external hammers must be fully decocked at the start signal,
  23. I have the 2nd gen Promag and haven't had any issues with it in a standard AR lower. Last round locks back, no drama. Only complaint I have is with the Colt mags. Very difficult to insert a fully loaded mag on a closed bolt. Maybe this is an issue with the Glock ones too.....
  24. If you're shooting the CM in limited minor, it is essential a Tactical Sport Orange at that point. I.e. no comp or optic on it. So a TSO in 9mm would be a great backup gun. A standard TS could also serve as a backup, as the mags are interchangeable. However the grip on the TS will feel slightly different than those of the TSO/CM. The Shadow 2 is different enough from the CM that I would not consider it as a 'backup' to the CM. Different drips, different mags, DA/SA trigger versus SAO in the CM.
  25. Prolly help if you provided an indication of what division you're interested in competing in...just saying :0
