  1. ...don't know whether they were ever offered "Comped", but Jack Weigand made a "Quick-Change" barrel system for the L-frame S&W's for a while...there were featured in "American Handgunner" at least once...worked kinda' like the DW barrels, but I don't remember whether ot not they had a separate "Shroud" and "Liner", or were one-piece...IIRC, the Weigand barrels have been out of production for a while...HTH....mikey357
  2. Tony, OBVIOUSLY that 610 is a LEMON! You should immediately TRADE it to ME for your old 25-2! Heck, I won't even charge you much "Boot"!!!... ....mikey357
  3. Dave Sevigny does pretty well with his G-34...FWIW....mikey357
  4. Cliff, it was GOOD seeing you again on Saturday at the "Georgia State Steel Match"...and the "Moon Holder" looks GREAT! Glad you made it back home okay...and that the WEATHER cooperated, too!....mikey357

    2nd generation

The Gen 2.5 GLOCKS are kinda' FUNNY...just picked up a Gen 2.5 G-20 that has the three pins--natch--finger grooves, and NO "Light Rail"...CORNfusing, huh???....mikey357
  6. So, did the "Problem" ever get resolved??? If so, HOW???....mikey357
  7. Tony, have ya' shot any MAJOR P.F. loads thru the gun with those grips??? I know I would NOT like to try that.......mikey357
  8. ...sometimes, swapping the DA sear from the original hammer to the new hammer will do the trick...FWIW....mikey357
  9. Tony, I would have LOVED to have been THERE...rather than being stuck at home battling a G.I. "Illness"...heck of it was, it was WINNING!!!...mebbe' NEXT Month!!!....mikey357 --I looked at the results...Pretty GOOD, Tony! BTW, what "Roundgun" was "Dito" shooting???
  10. As far as "Steel" goes, I'd say either the "Standard Contour" barrel on the "Regular Production" 627 OR the "Skinny Barrel" contour on the Model 27/"RM" repro would be MUCH better than the V-Comp... Tony, IF you're gonna' shoot the December "Monthly Steel Match" at GGC, I'll let ya' "Play With" one of each, IF you like...how's that???...HTH....mikey357
  11. hhmmm...Didn't know S&W EVER made a SIX-shot Ti cylinder for the L-frames...and the pic on the website referenced is the SAME as the one for the .45 ACP cylinder...hhmmm...wonder what gives???....mikey357
  12. Bjorn, given your "Track Record" in Competition, and the fact that the Glock IS "Grouping", I'd just move the sights so that the POA and POI coincide...not all guns shoot to the point of aim for everybody with the "Out of the Box" sight settings...FWIW....mikey357
  13. DANG, THAT looks like a "646" in the H&S Holster...didn't know any of them "Left" the country!!!... ....mikey357
  14. I wonder...IF you are shooting decent-sized groups...and POA/POI are "together"...does it REALLY make any difference if your sights are "Centered", drifted to the right a bit, or even drifted to the LEFT some??? Correct me if I'm wrong...and I'm wrong QUITE OFTEN, just ask my Wife, but...isn't "Sighting In" a Pistol a pretty PERSONAL thing??? How many of you are able to pick up someone else's gun and have it shoot right where the front sight is "Looking" without any adjustment???...Just curious....mikey357
  15. Dawson catalogs a Tritium front sight in the .125 in. width in two or three different heights...also check with Ameriglo on this...HTH....mikey357
  16. Paul: I appreciate your offer--REALLY--but we have a WEDDING to go to out-of-town this weekend...Youngest NIECE is getting married, so...guess I've GOT to be there for THAT, and the "Good News" is that I get to do ALL the DRIVING!!! I hope to see you at the "Steel Match" in November--remember, no "Steel" in October...and we'll TRY to get over your way for the "Icore" Match before the year is out...Thanks Again!!!....mikey357
  17. ...this Promotion is STILL going on!!!...FWIW....mikey357
  18. ...I've tried them ALL...what I like BEST is the Hogue wood grips, NO finger grooves, NO checkering...NOT as "Hard" on your hands as the Jerry M. grips, "Slick" enough to work well concealed and to not "Inhibit" your reloads...FWIW....mikey357
  19. Tony, the next time you see "Cody's Dad", ask him about this...he TRIED it, and I believe he found that the 627 "PC" eight shooters DO INDEED have a cylinder that has the charge holes further towards the "Outside" of the "Wheel" than the six-shot N's...might be able to pick up a NICE, UNfluted 627 six-shot cylinder from him, BTW... ...FWIW....mikey357
  20. Ameriglo, Aro-Tek and Dawson make 'em...you can get the Aro-Tek from Lone Wolf Distributors, IIRC...HTH....mikey357
  21. Gary, I'm the "Revolver Nut" Paul speaks of...Mark's e-mail DID SAY he's taking on new revolver work, but no new 1911 work until he gets "Caught Up" a lil' more...BTW, he's "Out of Town" now and won't be back in the shop until Wednesday...HTH....mikey357 P.S.--Paul, you gonna' send him that 686 cylinder for the 9x23 re-chambering??? If so, "Dibbs" on the first range session!!!...I've even got some FACTORY W-W ammo left over from that Series '80 Colt "Adventure"...hint, hint!!!
  22. Joe, you have our sympathy and best wishes...Hardest thing I have ever had to do in this life was hold my Mom's hand when SHE "Crossed Over"...I feel your pain....mikey357
  23. Jim Stroh of "Alpha Precision" CAN do it...don't know whether he WOULD or not...you can find him on the "APG" website, FWIW....mikey357
  24. Hey, Tony...whatcha' doin' in August or September???...Might be a fun "Trip"....mikey357
  25. I wonder what S&J does to the ejectors on THEIR "Raceguns"???....mikey357
