  1. There is no doubt that with everything else being equal, the fitter person "should" win. Those who shot the 2013 Cowtown Classic will testify to this fact. There were many HUGE stages with lots of movement. I ended several courses of fire gasping for air!!
  2. Very few shooters make a living "shooting" for a sponsor. However, they may get buy if they have a website sales business that supports/supplies the shooting sports. Some of the best shooters I know personally are good, because their non-shooting job enables them to buy lots of bullets.
  3. Brandon Strayer's pet load is 4.8 grains of Clays, under a 180 grain JHP loaded to 1.22. Every 40 cal pistol he builds has those run through them at the factory.
  4. I've not read the rules for the classic division, but if there is a weight limit, the bull barrel might put you over......
  5. This was my Uncle's 5 shot Smith. It was looking pretty bad, so I sent it to Fords Custom Guns for bright hard chrome. It looks awesome.
  6. My first USPSA holster was a Ghost. I tried a DAA Racemaster for a while last year and it broke during a low port walk through. Saul was kind enough to send me the parts to fix it, but it never locked up the way it originally did. So I'm back with the Ghost and love the durability and adjustability.
  7. Trace, I think it would only be fair if you were to give us a picture of all you Infinity guns together. That way we can get all of the spite out of our systems in one thread. Just start your own gallery thread, something like "this is why everyone loves to hate me" . I'll do that just as soon as I pick up my 5.4" Sight Tracker. Hopefully by the end of May.......
  8. It took us several hours and lots of test firing to get my 9mm Sight Tracker running with factory length ammo. But since it's my duty gun, it had to run 100% and it does. And yes it was all about the extractor. Call Brandon, explain what it's doing and he will fix it for you.
  9. No you misunderstood me. The part where you said you would receive it shortly!! I think if your name doesn't end in Tilley, Drummond or Boit, there is no such thing as shortly!!
  10. The TiN will not affect the lubricity of the barrel and it will significantly add to the life of it. Yes the blade tech holsters will fit both single stack and wide body pistols with a square trigger guard. As far as the weight of the slide goes....you could add a radial flute and ask for internal slide lightening. And for the Ti mag well, I simply thought it was a waste of money because you will ding it up.
  11. Looks pretty good and polizei1 is correct, the square trigger guard does complicate the "non competition" holster selection a bit. Also, in my opinion, 5 xcelerator serrations is too much for a 5" gun. They look great on a 5.4" or 6", but they go too far down the slide on a 5" gun. And since you're already spending a lot of money on the pistol with coating, spend the extra 100 bucks for the AET barrel....... Edited to add: You're spending a lot of extra cash on the titanium mag well that you're going to beat the snot out of. Save that money, get an aluminum one and you have the cash for the AET barrel.
  12. I've been running the Ghost mag pouches for a few months now and I really like them. They are much lighter than the DAAs ....
  13. me being anal ... kills me when I scratch up a metal magwell ... And I'm not great @ reloading and the dawson magwell takes care of that but I'm seriously looking into buying 2 stainless steel SV grips... Believe me, I understand what you're saying. Mine look like they've been shot with a shotgun, but it doesn't hinder it's performance. And IMHO, the steel grip is so much better than the plastic ones, you'll soon forget what the inside of your magwell looks like!!
  14. Yes, the Competition Grip XL Mag well is much larger than the original SV mag well. It is about the same size as a Dawson Ice mag well, minus the plastic insert.
  15. I use Berry's plated bullets in my practice ammo. They shoot great out of my 6" Limited gun with AET barrel, but they are all over the place out of my SIngle Stack with a 5" AET barrel.
  16. Where is the new range in Waxahachie? I'm not really sure.....Ting Sun has something to do with it....
  17. Cross TImbers USPSA shoots in Cresson on the 2nd Saturday. Johnson County Shooting Sports has a USPSA match on the 1st Saturday as does the Double Tap Ranch in Wichita Falls. And a new range in starting up in Waxahachie next month on the 4th Saturday.
  18. I'd say that some women and some guns are exactly alike. Some guns look really, really good but won't run. Some women may look really, really good and not know how to.......................
