  1. Have somebody fit an Infinity thumb safety for you. I'm a lefty and mine never work loose. I did have that issued with my STIs and I had to check them before every stage.
  2. +1 for the F150 with the Ecoboost. I love mine, but you might have a hard time meeting you $27,000 price limit. And in traffic, it won't get any better mileage than the big V8s. Drive in right on the highway though and it will get 20+ mpg.
  3. I was in your exact same spot about three years ago when I purchased my 650 from BEnos. I had a very experienced reloader set it up for me and show me how it worked. I've never regretted the purchase. I've loaded something like 20K rounds of 40 with only a few head scratching moments. They are great machines!
  4. Rick is a very detailed guy and I know he didn't make a mistake with these primers. I guess it's possible the person he purchased them from, let them get contaminated or something........just kinda weird....
  5. I'm pretty sure one of the reasons for the deposit is because 99% of their customers get a custom serial number. And believe it or not, some folks won't buy a pistol that has someone else's idea of a cool serial number.
  6. Take the shell plate off and make sure the two bolts underneath it are tight.
  7. Give Brandon a call.. Infinity Firearms 71229 Interstate Hwy 20 Gordon, TX 76453 800-928-1911 972-513-1911 972-513-0575 (fax)
  8. Well, it time for a visit to Gordon Texas then. If it's a stainless slide and frame, it's possible that you have some gaulling (sp). But, nonetheless, if it's dragging with just the slide/frame you have an issue.
  9. Remove the slide and take the barrel and recoil system out. Then place the slide on the frame and move it back and forth. Tell us what it does then....
  10. The Springfield Custom shop and Wilson Combat are at 24 months for their guns........
  11. What are you shooting them in? I may have a good starting load for you...
  12. If it ever happens, let's just hope it is from whatever date forward. So as long as you have "pre-ban" magazines, you can shoot hicap divisions.
  13. There is a lot of good stuff in here and I agree with most of it. I would say if you are training at all, you are training more than 75% of the LEOs in the Country, unless you include their mandatory qualifications. In my opinion if you follow any of the high level GMs training manuals you will improve as a USPSA/IDPA shooter and significantly as an LEO shooter. I would agree that SWATsters use/follow slightly different tactics than 100% "run and gun", but the average police officer/detective merely being able to quickly draw their pistol and make fast accurate shots is going to get them where they need to be.....home. Keep up the good work, it's great that you care
  14. Here is what you need.....the wait is worth it. I've shot behind many guys with polymer gripped 6" guns and most of them just flop around... http://i307.photobuc...ce/IMG_1202.jpg
  15. I'm very sorry to hear this......RIP General..
  16. You're only 56 post in.......move along. The 1911forum.com would love to have you.....
  17. This tells me you know very little or nothing at all about how they do business......FWIW, it takes about 4 hours of machining just to produce a grip.......not a finished grip. Now think about all of the other parts that "they" machine/produce to their exact tolerances. Then all of them have to be fitted/finished...... and sometimes refitted after coating...etc. It is a long, tedious process. So, yes..Brandon is awesome and can build a pistol very quickly when all of those parts have gone through all of their steps to be perfect. But as someone has already said, when you place your order...the box is empty and behind a long list of other boxes.... I hope you get the idea? I always do what I can to push my box to the front of the line....but I'm still waiting on two of them myself
  18. My opinion is purely based on results I (or my friends) have witnessed at work. I would NEVER carry 147 grain 9mm ammo if I had a choice. Velocity is your friend with pistol bullets. My duty round for 9mm is Speer Gold Dot 124 grain +P. I would prefer +P+, but it's not on our approved list.
  19. Congratulations!! Those Grand Prairie guns just got a little more rare.......
  20. I've been using the ComTac Infidel Ultra the last couple of weeks. I've NEVER carried inside the waist band before, but it seems to be pretty comfortable. My G36 it a bit thicker than your Shield though....
  21. I bought a JP 15 through Infinity Firearms about 8 months ago. It is the sweetest shooting AR I have ever shot or owned.
  22. Brian, what you say is exactly right, profoundly simply, yet extremely hard to do.......
