  1. Thanks! Good to hear. Any advice on securing personal gear while there? any sort of locker rental?
  2. Thanks Duane, I guess I had it in my mind that it was the hump (not sure brand) vs bump at the bottom. I was wondering about building up the top some, less leverage than at the end of the lever, but it seems to be where I put the most focused pressure when trying to get a high grip. I wonder how fat someone has built one up? Any pics?
  3. Just curious if it is worth the trip. Thanks JQ

    Wasting Paper

Just set a box next to the printer to toss in the extra page. Then flip and print when you need a scrap page. I hate this too. Jamie, don't worry about me. I leave my cell phone at home with an 870 Its a smart phone.
  5. I don't have one. I only read a couple that are of an educational format. I don't want to, but feel like I should. My blog would be mainly about my recent trip to Madagascar and what I have learned and the photo work I did...I have a web site with photos. so why "blog" other than "more"...? I have too many point of contact with the intrawebs as it is...no I don't twit either. Eh?
  6. Duane- What area were you building up, the top, bottom, etc?
  7. Yes. I started this after my discecotmy and love it. It will help with your balance among other things...many other things. Good for you.
  8. Keep your friends. Hire a safe mover.
  9. My story doesn't compare ^^^ ...but sadly true Last trip to Tworld...sales guys tells me (and a newby I'm there shopping with) how his grandfather, in an effort to prove the inherent safety of the venerable 1911, throws a locked and loaded 1911 into a nearby tree. "safest gun out there" - I wanted to point out that...all I could muster was a "huh?" and walked away. I made sure my buddy knew my thoughts about this dim-wit and his procedures for safety...don't get me started on the guy there who doesn't like it when I take out the magazines when handling the guns...apparently too hard to keep track of them. Good news...I got a first person example for my newbie friend...
  10. I WAS going to suggested the middle name of the greatest gun designer ever... "what goes in a primer pocket?" "Which is a major component of a firearm? nail, hammer, screwdriver, drill, wrench, dremel" and was that an African swallow...? This could be tough.
  11. I've got the horsey Other than that, I love the gun. What would it take to grind it off...a dremel??
  12. Congrats Jamie! That looks tasty. I usually stick to squirrel and rabbit while camping though. Must be a Texas thang?!
  13. "SAID HE HAD HAD A GOOD LIFE..." a hope for all of us to be able to say this. Tough one EEH...if I could get a doctor to tell me I had 2 years to live...I hate these doctor guess-timates. Remember, NONE of us are guaranteed even one more DAY. I don't mean to belittle your sentiment at all and I hope you don't take this as such - that HAD to be a shocker. Just a reminder (to myself also) that not even your next breath is "for sure". I recently had a close friend give me some bad med. news too...sux. Prayers and support are all we can do...help, if you can, to get his things in order. Prayers inbound that he may get better, and find a doctor that can help. I don't mind your yelling. SOMETIMES IT REALLY HELPS!! LET IT OUT!!!! JQ
  14. Welcome to the board...and my hometown! I think the "shooters supply" there has some sort of action pistol but I don't know exactly. Best BBQ in Town - Starnes...just in case you didn't know yet
  15. Does the tour include time with an Aero?
  16. Welcome...you don't happen to own a BMX company do you
  17. You owe me a keyboard nashville. Mine was dubbed the "golden banana" but was bullet shaped I thought. I can't even remember how I did...either I didn't win or I'm just getting old. It has been a while Good luck!
  18. In 76 I was probably even faster than that .5 My Lone Ranger holster and gun set had the "chrome" worn off by '76...hard to do wearin' that cheap mask that came with it though...couldn't hit a thing wearing it. loading...I could load a roll of caps faster than any other punk on the block ymmv
  19. Thanks for the correction.
  20. Just catchin up on some old episodes. Did anyone catch the lady who went into the cougar cage to determine the disposition of a new addition to their place?! All she had were two skinny sticks? And before I get whacked with such, I know the escrima etc... ...but that isn't another "ninjer" ya got there on the other end of that stick. She told the helpers/distractors - things would be ok with one stick, but if she had to use two...things were getting ugly...WTH?! In she went. She indeed pulled stick #2 but still didn't get eaten. Everyone OK. What kind of moxy is THAT? "I'm going to go at a big cat with a little stick". That gal scares me...and yet...
  21. There's over 6000 registered machine guns in Kentucky alone....count us in.
