  1. Hmmm a neighbor with all those cool rides?!
  2. This is a beautiful piece. LB's look even better in person!
  3. I never found golf to be relaxing...fun sometimes. Around here it costs way too much, I suck way too bad, and I don't like...never mind Also the average golf course uses 300,000 of water per year Glad you had fun!
  4. Since I haven't been able to get full time employment recently (AKA regular day job) I'm going to go full bore into self employment. Yeah I know - not the best time but I have magazines, I mean, mouths to feed... I am a photographer/videographer/editor/nerd. My work generally revolves around product development and marketing studies. As such I can't share many samples of my work. This is frustrating but part of the job. Now that I am going out on my own I need to show my "product" in order to sell it. In order to show my work I need to organize a focus group that I can video and show as a sample of my work. I have a focus group moderator who is willing to do the research and conduct the group for me to use as a sample, etc. A typical project has few participants in a room being asked a bunch of marketing questions...you've likely seen "hidden camera" footage on commercials..."Do you like the green bottle or the red bottle, etc" I am the one who runs the camera and edits all these questions into a ~5 minute, quick hitting video "brief". Typically 5-10 questions are covered in a brief. So, if you have a product, store, restaurant, etc. this is a great opportunity to get real feedback from real clients, or potential clients. My past projects have included working for companies that make or sell...cell phones service, computers, lingerie/swim suits, diapers, toothpaste, shampoo, convenient store chains, etc, etc...if you've bought it in a grocery store, somebody studied how to sell it to you. This would preferably be in the Cincinnati, SW Ohio area but we could work out other areas of the country. Everyone involved will be aware of the public nature of this project and will be asked to sign a release for public use. If your products are secret/in development and you don't want public use, we can craft a few public questions for use as well. This industry is VERY conscientious of trade secrets. I'm offering my time, etc on this gratis (always happy to get product samples though ) ...all the other details haven't been fully worked out, but it will be the most affordable research of this type you'll ever be able to get. We may be able to do the entire project gratis, but I have to work out location/facility details. Mods if this isn't cool just let me know...I'd like to be able to join the vendors tent some time. Questions? Thanks! Joel
  5. A bump for those who have recently lost loved ones. Also, now at 5.5 years in, I can say that time does help with the pain. I always hated hearing that from people when it was so fresh...I still miss her daily but the sharp, ripping, stabbing pain has transformed into just a dull ache - and that better I guess. Then some days.... Peace to all those suffering.
  6. I also carry a 9mm all day every day. I pocket carry a Rohrbaugh R9s which is a 9mm. It is really easy to get used to, much easier than other options I tried...jeans, shorts, sweats, dress slacks anything with a pocket. It is expensive and not something you will enjoy shooting but it is very accurate and it top of the heap for the pocket carry option. They are also very specific about the ammo it was built for but I find that OK too - 124 JHP. Mine has eaten everything I've tried but I only carry with the recommended ammo. Very smooth trigger too. another fine option in the Kahr PM9, small, nice trigger, well built and less expensive than the R9.
  7. I hate when green things use batteries to function...how pitiful are we that we motorize paper towels and soap dispensors...grrrr
  8. Very sorry Brian. Hang in there.

  11. you could make toy guns...maybe mag extensions...back scratchers...
  12. I have seen these in industrial facilities but never this cheap...~$1200. Now what can I make with one of these Be sure to watch the video on the page...funny kid nice does presentation. Probably a good thing I don't win the lottery 'cause I could see having one of these around the house. http://store.makerbot.com/makerbot-thing-o-matic.html
  13. +1 tough one for sure but when you live rural, you live with this as a possibility. Our dogs always ran loose, too. My 18th birthday my dog Mindy was hit in front of our house...the driver (milk man) was real tore up. I never felt any bad toward the guy...just bad.
  14. And the one that got it all started...I remember the day my Dad took me to get it
  15. I have been remiss in adding a few from my stable. My road ride. 1999 Chris Chance 54 cm. Chromoly steel built with DuraAce grouppo, except hubs Ultegra The bike from my avatar a 93 Fat Chance Ti with custom 1" head tube Marzochhi fork. Built with a 9 speed drive and shimano bar end shifters adapted to thumb shifting...this bike was either 6 or 7 speed when built. The frame is titanium as is pretty much everything but the chain and the spokes and cranks.
  16. Funny...I saw you lumped KY in with "Northeast" too. Thanks to my Kentucky brethren for beating me to the punch...man I gotta get back across the river Welcome to the board...my advice...3Gun is like crack, you'll sell it all to get it all... 3 times the fun to be sure.
  17. Thanks Nik. Good points. Standing alone with a bunch of $$ equip might also make me a target for some degenerates. Thankfully we have CCW reciprocity OH/KY. I might open carry+ as well in this situation. I've been thinking about this for a few years now and have finally decided to put it in action. I'm really just trying to avoid/preempt that first "I didn't know ticket".
  18. Not that - that is the only thing to do...shooting can be arranged as well I don't mind showing you around the town if you need a guide.
  19. You could visit the Wright Patterson Air Force museum. Its free.
  20. I'm not sure really. I think that is emergency use only?? I don't want to get any undue attention from our friendly LEO's. A note from someone might eliminate at least one conversation. I'm planning on just shooting from highways and parkways, ie bluegrass and the WK.
