No one here...not even close to here. <nonsensical rant on> I hate getting strung along for work/opportunity...especially when it is the need is so great that you are almost willing to "sell out" cheap. I know better. But I can't keep selling off... Two weeks of "call you tomorrow" and now you want to meet Friday?! I guess I should be glad he finally called. I understand ALL the issues that can, and does come up...fine just say hey not going to work. BUT don't "spit" in my ear and tell me it is raining. And, while it could work out, the hairs on the back of my neck are now not going to be ignored because of being "friends"... I guess we'll know by Friday 1500hr. <rant off> I am thankful for all the good things I have going...and for those who don't make my hairs stand...maybe I need to share a couple good things to balance out my board karma...peace.

I think what Jamie was talking about use the name Techtum-board (sp). As far as sound attenuation pretty much the above covers a good bit of your options but I'm curious to see what works. But, maybe you could cancel the noise (mask) with loud HVAC units/fans...a good "droning" sound should work. There are industrial units that cancel sound waves but they are usually closed systems - pretty much a speaker that generates the cosine to the sine wave. Maybe crank up the rock n roll when you shoot so they miss shooting noise.

To butcher someones else's ad. "Sig - the one you show to your friend, CZ the one you show the tango." (something to that effect) I am a Sig fanboy, by the way...at least old school, pre-external blah, blah... But when it come to which gun I like to shoot and shoot better, consistently - it is the CZ. Its like a 1911 without the grip safety and a whole bunch of rounds (shadow).

I now (after plenty screw ups) have a "buddy filter" installed in my brain that asks, "Is this something my buddies would like/think funny/etc?" If "yes", do NOT proceed... DO NOT - do, tell, show, release while in the presence of opposite sex/GF/wife/signif other/etc. There are guy-things...funny as you and I know they are, that just don't translate. Don't fight it. If "no" - proceed at your own risk, but likely the best course. FWIW, I understand the whole idling thing outside the house. Sounds good to me, too. <buddy filter disengaged> ymmv
