  1. True, I have more than 20 for my production guns. They are all loaded before a match. Once taken from my belt they are placed in a separate part of my range bag. I never load mags on the range if I can help it. I just paste and run the timer, and oh, pick up brass too if its a local
  2. And this is because others will not R.O. me or otherwise even this wouldn't stop me...
  3. Think if I were to buy another 3G rifle, I'd just buy one off the classifieds here. Just seems there is always a decent rifle on here at a good price, race ready, just send your money with very little wait time. Just saying..
  4. 4.0gr Titegroup @ 1.125OAL, was my load with that bullet. Don't recall velocities. Pretty snappy is what I tend to like.
  5. That is a cool picture! I really love to see people from our country continuing the love of the shooting sports. Especially women, as they are examples for my young daughters. I agree with Sig Lady, warms my heart too.
  6. Looking at biting the bullet and the wife and I want a thrower. We used to have unlimited access to one when we first met and would spend lots of one-on-one time shooting clays together. In a romantic, wine and fireplace moment, my wife lamented at how she wished we could shoot like that now, and teach the girls to shoot birds too. There are no clubs close, and those further away from us seem to charge about the same amount for membership as a new thrower. So...... Which brand produces a thrower for between $1,500 and 2K that is towable, bulletproof, easy to use, good throw range, etc.? Please feel free to expound on this subject, and expand my knowledge. Thanks
  7. Wow! Since then I have worked as a grip in the film industry, back as a welder, woodworking, and even wiring, but my chief job now is with a small concert promoter in the Coachella Valley in SoCal. I spend my days setting up shows, tending to gear, listening to music, and this is now leaving me time to finally shoot again. Just re-upped with USPSA, and now am very excited to be practicing again.
  8. Maybe a LAR-47? Uses AK mags, and is ambi in design as far as the mag release goes.
  9. That was just torture to read! Wow! Really screwed up my eyes or something!
  10. Did you remember to send me the $200 for the 9mm brass I sold you?;^D This is so not funny!
  11. Are they crimped over the plastic dowel or is the hull cut off flush? If cut off works, you may not need a reloading press to make these. Bill Exactly! Going to experiment with dense hardwood dowells and am looking at machining some out of plastic and brass to make some cadillac ones to see if we can come up with two ends of the spectrum. Cheap and reliable, and gawdawful expensive, yet surely functional.

    Favorite Lube

Slip 2000 EWL is what i'm using right now. Pretty good so far.
  13. Being that the surface would also have lead too, probably not a great idea to try and remove anything except by shooting. Shotgun is probably your safest bet really.

    Which one?

Bianchi plate racks six plates a piece thank you very much. Shoot and scoot? or Set up and tear down?
  15. Learning to load from one of these currently. Fun as heck! Love this thing so far.
  16. Great info - I had wondered about modifying the timing and/or length of the latches too. PM sent! Please post if this fixes your problem. i am very curious to hear if this is the fix. Seems like a part could be made for this and a niche market may be out there for those that wish to run guns like this.
  17. I was given a set of six the other day made by a friend. He took hulls, and siliconed a hollow plastic dowell that fit extremely snug in the hull, and told me that I could find all the stuff to make them at Michael"s, or Hobby Lobby. They work extremely well in both my 712, and my SuperNova. My Vest and guns cannot tell the difference between them and the real deal as far as practice goes. I am going to Hobby Lobby to get more stuff to make them. I already can't find one of six. Going to make tons of them so I don't care if another rolls under the shelves in the garage. He told me that made this way, the rims get funky long before the shell would ever buckle. They really can't buckle because the dowel has too much structural integrity. After seeing this simple idea, I won't be buying practice shells. These last longer and are VERY cheap.

    Which one?

If I could still have the caffeine, coffee, 'cause dates usually get interesting after dinner. Japanese food? Teppan or Sushi/Sashimi?
