  1. Well I was looking at this thread and I am laughing at how much exercise I did to lose weight then, when I was almost 40. Now at 45 I am 195 to 200 almost all the time and a 34-36 waist as opposed to a 36-38. What did I do? well, I changed my diet, and my job. I am a grip now in the film industry. I am fed at work generally, and I eat two mostly paleo (except for rice) meals. No bread anymore save homemade burgers. I drink water, very little milk, and coconut water and no sweetened drinks whatsoever besides an occasional hot chocolate from Starbucks on Saturday or Sunday nights when I want to stay up. Craft service is pretty good. When I want a snack I eat fruit, nuts, yogurt (half serving) and I drink a fair amount of water after every meal and avoid eating four hours before bedtime. My arms and legs are in good shape now from work. I lift 35lb sandbags all day long ( two at a time ), and carry gear around movie sets too. Pushing heavy carts of gear through dirt is not unusual and they weigh upwards of 300 to 500 lbs. Take them up grades, down grades, through malls, dirts lots, desert wasteland, everywhere! I carry and set up c-stands, and combo and mambo combo stands which are not light for the most part, and working with your hands is a regular all day thing. You sit and wait, then you go balls out, then you sit and wait, then you go balls out, but smooth, and not erratic. I mountain bike on weekends regularly, and use a bike to shop in Albuquerque for the most part utilizing the arroyo bike paths and staying to designated cycling streets. Breakfast used to be eggs over-easy and sausage, with hash browns and biscuits and gravy. Now its steel cut oats and fruit with an egg white from a boiled egg or two for breakfast. I have more energy. I regularly work 14 to 16 hours and do so without caffeine at all because I have A-fib. When I want energy, I eat fruit and drink water. I live with and work with some food nazis too. They question everything they put into their mouths save alcohol for the most part. When I go out to eat, I desire lean, fresh things that are made from things I can grow or catch, and I eat quite a bit of game meat now from hunter friends. The stuff is very lean and just gorgeous. So yeah, I changed my job and was able to use that to change my diet and both things kind of changed my body too. Do I ever eat junk anymore? Yeah sometimes, but I enjoy it less and less as my palate gets used to fresh uncooked foods and less fats and sugars/salts. You start to smell the junk in processed foods that makes you pause and kind of snub your nose 'cause you're not hungry for that type of food anymore. The only things I desire sometimes to pig out on are pastries/cake/ice cream. So if you have a kid between the ages of 3 and 18 who lives at home and has a birthday this year ( In ABQ) then please send me a message so I have an excuse to indulge. Promise I will bring an age appropriate gift too! Lol!
  2. Got it. Oh well, I'm 45 and have been around too much noise without protection for too long. I really protect my ears now to save what I have.
  3. Yeah if it is not on the written stage brief, then I believe that Willz is correct.
  4. Magwell, slide cuts, and get that thing coated too with something pretty. Undercut the grip after the magwell installation too! Then send us the before and after pictures
  5. Had a buddy do this to me. Over the years I've heard the same thing from others who've dealt with him, as a matter of fact just last Thursday. He is gradually working his way around the contractors and friends he knows and has. This circle of support is slowly drying up and his life is getting more difficult because less people will deal with the guy. I lost some money, about a grand with time and material added up. Didn't lose a friend though. Friends don't do that to each other. Thought he was, I was just misinformed.

I had one and it came with two extras and a few extractors too. Never had to replace either, but was nice to have them. I do not think it is a design problem though. The recoil system is very similar to the BHP. Lots of pistols use a linkless barrel action. Just the nature of the beast.
  7. Presentation, index, reloads, transitions and movement can all be practiced at home without great difficulty. Took me to where I can focus on shooting a stage as opposed to shooting the gun.
  8. Quench Polish Quench. Produces surface hardening with greater performance qualities than hardchrome.
  9. Whichever of these three I grab first.
  10. Very cool. Thanks for sharing.
  11. Just finished working with Mel on Blood Father. Still knows how to act. Solid every day on set even when sick. Miss the old days. Wish HWood would get off the serial sequel rampage and just give us quality originals for at least a decade.
  12. My bet is the longer port=ease of loading.
  13. Thanks guys! Calling around for a stock right now. Yeah, I think my wrist is finally getting arthritis. It just always hurts a little or a lot. I love shooting this shotgun, just don't like to feel it for the days afterward. Not the kind of memory I want to have of my fun day at the range.
  14. Just took my Supernova out to run some boxes of shells through it and noticed that the traditional grip is bothering my right wrist quite a bit. So..... have any of you put a pistol grip on a Supernova, is it a stock Benelli item I can purchase, and if you have had the same issues with your wrist and traditional SG/long gun stocks, was the pistol grip your answer. BTW, I really love this shotgun. it is really easy to load, and operates super. I have never owned a pump gun that I liked quite as much as this one. JZ
  15. Get the 17 now. Get the 34 later. I did this and am not unhappy or unsatisfied. I cannot for the life of me tell the difference when I shoot them. or in dry fire. Same mags, same sights, dunno but I can't even decide to be honest. Really like them both about the same.
  16. I go on my day off and roll through all the local places that people shoot which aren't official ranges. I have found that they rarely pick up any brass and I get all the 9mm I need for a season in one day usually, or in a weekend for sure. Take it home, tumble, resize, tumble and bag for processing at a later date. Get enough 9mm or whatever caliber I'm looking for this way.
  17. If you don't mind the brass cost, I really do not see too much of a down side to shooting 10mm as opposed to say .45 or 40S&W. I really appreciate the bullet weight and velocity options too. I would imagine over all feeding is better with the longer cartridge.
  18. I have always loved when the law enforcement people have chosen to use our range. They never, ever, pick up their brass. I used to hit the range right after them once a year if I could. I had enough brass the first time to shoot over a year. 9mm, .40, 10mm, Loads of 40 and 9mm. Always polite, sometimes if I am there and they show up on one of the regular days not scheduled for them, the CHP trainer would let us run his course. Lots of fun, and very eye opening.
  19. That is great that you got your gun back. I hope that there is a special place in hell for the type of people that think this is okay and business as usual. Well I hope the price of his business is a few years if not a decade in federal lock-up. Isn't the theft of a firearm and the sale of a stolen firearm federal offenses?
  20. 9x25.com is a good source of information too.
  21. I love a good voice and a good guitar, so my pod plays that. I'll go from Jango Reinhardt to Bo Diddly to Rage Against The Machine. Aimee Mann to Janes Addiction to Johnny Cash to P"funk to Iron Maiden.
