Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I went ahead and ordered a 1000 rounds of the Supermatch 9mm. I'll compare them with the Blazer Brass 9mm I already have when it gets here...
  2. Anyone have any experience using Freedom Munitions Supermatch ammo in 124gr 9mm for USPSA production? I'm new to shooting USPSA Production this year, & I need some solid suggestions for factory match ammo to use in my first match coming up in May. I'm shooting a CZ ACCU-Shadow... Unfortunately, reloading isn't an option for me at this time. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
  3. Do most of you that don't reload, practice with the same ammo that you shoot in matches? The Supermatch is significantly more expensive than the regular 9mm ammo. I'm wondering if it's wise to shoot the regular ammo for practice, & the Supermatch for competition?
  4. I have some questions about ammo... What is the preferred 9mm ammo? Should I use the same ammo for practice that I use in a match? What I currently have on hand is 700rds of Blazer Brass 115r FMJ. I noticed that Freedom Munitions has the new Super Match 124gr available. I do plan on getting into reloading later, but that will have to wait until next fall at the earliest.
  5. The Springer base pads showed up today, & I'll install them tonight while I'm watching hoops. On Wisconsin!!!
  6. My rig is now starting to come together for my rookie season in USPSA production. Here's what I'm going with so far: CZC ACCU Shadow CR Speed Deluxe belt BOSS Blade-Tech holster (5) plated CZC 17rd mags (6) SP base pads (5) DAA Racer mag pouches Do I need to mod the mags with springs, or should I be good to go for now? Anything else equipment related I might need to address?
  7. Thanks much for the heads up on which pads to get. Just completed the order... My rig is now starting to come together for my rookie season. Here's what I'm going with so far: CZC ACCU Shadow CR Speed Deluxe belt BOSS Blade-Tech holster (5) plated CZC 17rd mags (6) SP base pads (5) DAA Racer mag pouches
  8. I'm about to order 6ea of the SP pads, but I'm not exactly sure which ones to order. I really would like to get my order right the first time & not have to mess about with returns & extra shipping. I have an ACCU Shadow & the three 18rd mags that came with it from CZC. I also have 5 of the CZC 17rd plated mags, see below: http://czcustom.com/cz759mm17rdmagplated5pk.aspx What I'd like to do is get 6 base pads, 5ea for the 17rd plated mags, & 1 for the CZC mag that came with the pistol. Should I order all 6 pads the same? Or do I need to order 5 of these: SP EZ CZ 9mm base pads - Mecgar 17 round magazines And one of these: SP EZ CZ 9mm base pads - Factory 18 round magazines
  9. Thanks for the insight... I went ahead and purchased a CR Speed Deluxe belt, a Boss DOH holster, and 5 DAA Racer mag pouches. I had already bought a 5-pack of the plated 17rd mags from CZC when I was down in AZ in January. http://czcustom.com/cz759mm17rdmagplated.aspx Hopefully, these were good gear choices. I have no idea if I'll need new/additional base pads for the mags. I figured I'd leave them stock for now & see how it goes... Would anyone else suggest getting the base pads right from the jump? If so, why and which ones? Thanks again!
  10. Hello from Wisconsin! I'm new to pistol competition, & have a lot to learn, but I plan to start in USPSA this spring. I'm really looking forward to it. I have to get some more gear...
  11. I'm so new I screwed up my first post! lol.... I bought a new Accu Shadow from CZC late last fall that was a customer cancellation. I figured WTH since I wanted to try out USPSA anyway. I'm a rank beginner to pistol competition, & I'm looking for some advice on which way to go regarding belts, holsters, & mag pouches. The amount of choices is staggering, & I'm not sure which would be the best way to go. Also, if anyone has any suggestions, tips, tricks, or rules of thumb that would smooth out the transition from rank beginner would be greatly appreciated!
