  1. I slide my weak hand rear on the handguard until it contacts the receiver and I grip the receiver like a pistol grip. I move the gun to the weak side. I strong hand goes to firing position on handguard. Weak hand goes to grip. Its been working for me so far.
  2. My club has been running it since USPSA turned it on. The I feel the biggest problem we had was gun handling outside of the COF, but that was in large part due to rules issues in my opinion. At the start they were not clear and stable enough that we could get a good handle on it. The rules now are not perfect with that in mind, but they are pretty good. It has gotten better. My club uses the bag/unbag as the side berm system that is allowed within the rules. The PCC rules give clubs and MD some options on how to handle the division, what ever options you choose make sure all of your PCC competitors know. This is important due to the fact that it can be different from club to club, which is a pain, but it's what we have to work with right now. I kind of disagree with Sarge about the time it takes to MR and Clear. From what I have seen experienced PCC shooters MR and Clear just as fast as experienced handgun shooters, and on the flip slide in-experienced PCC shooters are just as slow to MR and Clear as in-experienced handgun shooters. It may be more noticeable because there just are not as many experienced PCC shooters out there as handgun shooters due to the division being only about two years old and the fact that the rules have been in flux basically the whole time. To be very honest some of that extra time comes from ROs at times as well. I shot a match today at my club in PCC and Clearing did take a bit longer than it should a couple of times of because more than once the RO asked me what the range commands are. Lesson here, train up your ROs As far as setting up stages, Sarge makes a couple of good points. We shouldn't change the shooting challenges that we have always put on the ground but in reality we can not set up stages without thinking about PCC from a safety aspect. When I MD or design stages I put down pistol stages, because its a pistol match. Once I'm done with that I look at it with PCC safety in mind. You may have to change the stage procedure for the PCC shooters to keep things safe and the rules allow for this. At the moment I am struggling to think of a time where my club had to do that, but I can see it being a possibility.
  3. That Kobra looks nice, but the one Im seeing looks like you would have to dismount it to change the battery. Yuck
  4. Yes. I love coated lead bullets, BBIs in particular, but my JP barrels are really hard on the coating as seen from bullets recovered in snow and they would plug up my MBX and Taccom comps fairly quick. As much as I hated to, I had to switch to JHPs. Problem solved. So for me it comes down to choosing between paying a little more per bullet or scraping out the comp more often. I chose paying a bit more per bullet.
  5. All of the ARs I build from stripped lowers start as pistols
  6. Well at least Im not alone in my feelings
  7. How does CO not fit into the current sections? It's 90% a Production gun with the addition of a slide mounted optic.
  8. QC10 version that I coated black, sorry don't have the wieght.
  9. I made a mock up "fang" to play around with. I shoot ARs nearer the center line of my chest not out in the shoulder pocket, because of this I did not like the idea. Its not a bad idea, it just doesnt work for me.
  10. I have found that JP barrels are VERY hard on coated bullets. Recovered bullets showed noticeable stripping of the coating and slight elongation of the bullets. Id say that coupled with my chrono results means these barrels are super tight. /end highjack
  11. Another vote for Bmiller here
  12. Id like to see a live online version with updated rulings/ect and an option formatted to print off for a 5.5"X8.5" 3 ring binder like this:
  13. Its way cheaper to throw a book at an RO than it is the scoring equipment?
  14. I get that, but shouldn't official rulings/clarifications that are already published be all set to hit the book? They are already "official" after all. Why is not a matter of copy/paste in this situation?
  15. The PDF version of the rule book should be updated immediately when rulings are made and there should be an appropriately sized PDF of rulings available(both past and future) for printing out and sticking in the current hard copy of the rule book in the appropriate section. It 2018 FFS, get it done.
  16. Mine(top) seems to never stop changing, but I think I'm close to settled. My oldest(13) son wanted to get in the game so I I got him the parts to put a lower together for Christmas and taught him how to put it together. Still need to pick up an ambi bolt-catch, magwell and change one of the safety levers. For the moment he is using my original PCC upper, but we have plans to build his own.
  17. Nope, ATF says the blind pinned and pin head must be welded over. Not a bad idea though.
  18. I grounded my press by attaching a wire to the water feed coming into my house. Didn't do it for safety, but to reduce powder cling in the hopper. Seems to have worked well for that.
  19. My PCC load out of my 14.5JP barrel is only 10fps faster than that same load shot out of my aftermarket Glock 19 barrel and published load data agrees with what I am getting out the the Glock barrel. I from what I have seen though, JP 9mm barrels are super tight bore and slow.
  20. I wanted a Mega for PCC only matches but I didn't see myself shooting a lot of those so I held off. A friend of mine gave me one so.. I got it running and have used it in a local match just testing to be sure it's good to go. Another match or two and I'll put it away until it's really needed.
  21. No metal mags, but remember Glock mags are metal lined so different yes, but not completely
  22. I when I was dealing with this I did also run across more than a few threads here where handguns were having nosedive issues as a result of too much spring pressure.
