  1. I can see why you say PCC barrel ports are a "no-go" in USPSA, but I bet nobody ever gets dinged for having them and you can't shoot/get bumped to Open with a PCC gun.
  2. Every classifier that I have read with Handgun WHO states "weak shoulder" for PCC, and the rule below makes this a non-discussion All references to “strong hand” and “weak hand” in the current edition of the rulebook apply to PCC as follows: Strong Hand will require the PCC to be shouldered on the strong hand side, trigger pulled with the strong hand. Both hands may be on the gun. Weak Hand will require the PCC to be shouldered on the weak side, trigger pulled with the weak hand. It boils down to this when considering this specific discussion: ALL references to "weak hand" in the current edition of the rule book apply to PCC as follows: Weak Hand will require the PCC to be shouldered on the weak side, trigger pulled with the weak hand. If WHO was specified in the WSB ^there is your answer.
  3. Hiperfire ECL with silver springs, WSP primers. I have not broken a pin since I changed how I dryfire. I use a spare bolt with an already broken pin for dryfire now.
  4. Id say the effective mass separates momentarily with hyd or Taccom/MBX style buffers, but obviously the parts do not physically separate. Its really not that much different than a dead blow hammer. You are always swinging he same total weight, but a certain points in the swing the internals effect the impact differently.
  5. I can tell you that when I tested light weight stuff my normal single and low two digit SDs went bonkers and the gun got dirtier faster.
  6. Shooting Innovations is doing light(lighter than JP anyways) profile, ramped barrels and they will accommodate requests for custom lengths. Im waiting for a 14.5" right now.
  7. I don't agree with everything MikieM says but with all the crazy stuff I have tested, Ill agree that this would be a really good setup.
  8. Id have to dig up my chrono data, but I seem to remember that WSF with 124s can get super inconsistent at lower charge weights with all that airspace in the case using a 124.
  9. This is how I picture it happening with a hyd buffer. Waiting to hear back from Kynshot to see what they say about that idea.
  10. Really good info here from a former Colt employee. Its not 9mm specific, but 9mm stuff is touched on. 23 minute mark is 9mm
  11. All the info I have looked at states the weights are for "anti-bounce" and cyclic rate changing(using types of weights), also if you you look at a Colt 9mm smg bolt(not a semi auto one, a full auto one) its a two piece design for the same reason. Anit-bounce at high cyclic rates. Colt decided the 9mm semi-auto guns didnt need anti-bounce as they wouldnt be cycling fast enough for it to matter so those got a one piece buffer.
  12. There is a reason lots of from the ground up designed sub guns with high capacity run curved mags.
  13. Taccom ramp will help, it did for me. We have to remember that the 9X19 case is tapered, so the more rounds in the mag the lower the angle of bullet presentation to the chamber which is probably why it runs better as the round count in the mag drops.
  14. Tim, I was not insinuating that you were pushing your product. I have If you want to know the truth my favorite setup some super lightweight stuff, but the chrono tells me its not a the best of ideas. ETA, I am pushing my cousin to buy your setup just so I cant test it. Evil I am
  15. Ive run it all(not literally) in testing except for the current breed of buffers like yours and MBX. I use what the timer and target, not my eye/shoulder/hands tell me to run.
  16. Placebo? The timer doesnt care about placebos does it?
  17. Im going to email Kynshot(the maker of the Blitzkrieg buffer) and ask them the theory of operation on these things. Wish me luck FWIW I have run everything from the Colt SMG setup to the JP SCS to really funky stuff with all kinds of buffer springs. At the moment(last season) I was running a hyd buffer, 308 car spring, wave spring
  18. Why not buy Glock OEM mags? Im always slightly confused by the practice of buying aftermarket Glock mags.
  19. I have one 31rd tube that I bought back in about 2005. Some use in pistols. Lots in a PCC with a metal mag catch. almost two dozen matches where it gets used as a starting mag for every stage other than classifiers, bunch of practice, ect. No issues so far QC10 lower
  20. Here is what I think, could be wrong. I think the hyd buffers slow only the first, what 1/2" of rear travel? After that they are going to stay compressed until the system reverses direction and then the will open back up and soften the last 1/2" of forward travel. What does that mean for dot movement? Im dont know yet. On the start of the rearward stroke the body mass wants to stay still as the bolt drives the head back, thus compressing the buffer. On the start of the forward stroke the body mass wants to stay still as the buffer spring drives the head forward, thus opening the buffer. That said, I guess it could do "something" to the system when the buffer opens back up.
