  1. We will continue to pray for him and your whole family.
  2. I voted for 1 month. I could probably swing it in 2 weeks but it would be tuff. Me getting vacation time is easy. Loading ammo, finding a hotel room(or finding a friend that would let me crash at their house), just planning for everything else would just take time. All of this probably don't matter for this year cause I don't myself going as much as I woud love to.
  3. The ones like TK has in stock, would I really need to use one brand of brass? (I am cheap and use whatever the hell I can get my hands on ) Do they hold the rounds tighter? Can I buy them straight from Hearthco? Does he have a web sight? I can't find it I have looked.
  4. I don't like recessed charge holes. There is enough sharp edges and corners for bullets to hang up on as is without the recessed holes.
  5. Jack Sounds like this is going to be the biggest and best Toys for Tots match yet! Currently we have a about a dozen folk signed up from the Augusta area. This is the biggest crowd we have ever put together to go shoot a match out of town. Six of these are new shooters. I took some to the range today to give them some safety lessons to help prepare them for the match. It will be neat to see how many keepers we get from the ones that will be trying USPSA for the first time. Mark It will be nice to meet you Mark. I am fired up to get there.
  6. I got my new rule book today and the new rules have been on the web sight for a couple of weeks.
  7. I guess production is a little cheaper than revolver but you won't be as cool. I promise you this if you start with a revolver you WILL be a better shooter when you go to any other division. If you do want to shoot a slide gun though I would look around and find a used Glock 17. You can still find police trade ins for low $300 range. A $20 or less Uncle Mikes or even a Fobus plastic holster and a couple of cheap plastic double mag pouches and you can be shooting for less than $500. Then when and if you want to change you can still have a good carry gun. Or what my buddy Nemo said.
  8. Yeah that picture is just a representation. You will need something like a Blade Tech or something. Run that 8 shot revolver in production, not too many target arrays require more than 8 shots. Do your reload on the move and you will be ok. I have beat many slide guns with my 6 shot revolver with 2 extra shots you are pretty even with limited 10 and production. I wouldn't do it in a big match but in a local match have fun. I am going to shot my Smith 19 in production in our little weekly fun match in a few weeks.
  9. I could only vote for one thing in the poll so i said use cheaper components. I already cast my own bullets for my 45 revolver and 38 special revolver. I am now set up to cast for 9mm and 40 cal. The good thing about shooting revolver is I get my brass back most of the time. I will also be dry firing more and live fire less.
  10. Is that a Ti cylinder? If it is , are the throats tighter than the original? If so, did accuracy increase? mws It does look like a Ti cylinder. If I had known this could be done I may still have my 25-2. I am sure the accuracy had to improve.
  11. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Leatham family.

    Man Rooms

I have a 20x24 shop with 2 rooms where I hang out. In the front room I have my tools and is where I cast bullets. Unfortunately I have to store my lawn mowers in there also. In the back room is where I do all my loading, cleaning, tweaking, tuning. It is also where I have a tv and vcr. I used to have a small frig but it died. I also have all my guitars and amps and my sons drums are in there. No way in hell will I post a picture, it looks like a bomb exploded in both rooms.
  13. Sorry for your loss! You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
  14. I know Pinnacle does. http://www.pinnacle-guns.com/revolver.asp I have always thought it was a cool conversion but never messed with it because I wasn't/am not sure it is legal for USPSA. I still would like to have one done at some point to play with and carry if nothing else. And giving the extra points for minor would hurt.
  15. I can't speak to a Storm Lake as I have never had one. I have a LWD that I can say enough good about. It is really for a 24 but worked fine in my 35. It has been in 3 guns and ran flawlessly in all 3. The only thing you will need is a lighter spring, 13 to 15#. Never a problem withe the extractor or ejector in either of the 3 guns. Before I changed the spring I had a couple of hicups with subsonic ammo but none with standard ammo. After I dropped the spring down to 15# not one more problem.
  16. I think everybody should own a couple of 45 acp revolvers.
  17. Man I hope things settle down for you guys. Will keep you guys in my prayers. The police chief in Mountainair is a very good friend of mine, his son is a volunteer fireman there and my brother lives in Moriarty. Very personal for me. I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving.

    Two questions

I never had any luck with high cap 40 mags running with 9. 10 round 40 mags ran fine with 9. YMMV Like PB said give the freebies a try. I have a 9mm conversion barrel for my G24, it runs like a dream without changing anything but barrel and mags. The 40 extractor and ejector works fine.
  19. Just to clarify, I don't own it, I probably will never own it as it is up for sale locally on consignment and is overpriced by about $150 I was just wondering what it could do that my 6" 19 couldn't. Happy Thanksgiving, Gary IN THAT CASE. What can it do your 6" 19 can't, cost you a bunch more money just to have it. :-) Happy Thanksgiving
  20. And you call my 625 "Ol Smokey" how about this. I remember that picture. I took that the day we met at the Griffin steel match on 01January of 2005! Thats right you were the one that took those pictures that day.
  21. No man, minor 38 loads. POOF POOF POOF POOF POOF POOF
