  1. Being primarily a revolver shooter I wish they would make it 6 rounds max. That said when I do shoot limited I want my 20 rd mags. I may only load 19 in them most times but I want the option. This may (thats a big may) level the playing field a small amount between 17-18 rd 45's and 20 rd 40's but not by much.
  2. Roger, Where is Riverbend Gun Club? Thanks, Up close to Dawsonville.
  3. Aah...the brain teaser that caused multiple pages on this forum with folks trying to figure out how to shoot it.... Vince, That actually wasn't the course...the Steeler Standard was with 4 classic targets, 3 strings total. The one you are thinking of was last year with the 7 metric targets. This is a LOT like 99-61. I just shot that with a revolver in 16.2 but I had some sloppy hits. I did however beat everyone else for the match 24 people I think including to master production shooters. I know I broke their hearts.
  4. THANKS AGAIN DAVID AND SABRE DEFENCE! AND THANKS TO ALL THAT WORKED SO HARD MAKING THAT MATCH SO MUCH FUN. THANKS TO THE SHOOTERS THAT SHOT AND DONATED SO MANY TOYS AND SO MUCH MONEY. THANKS TO THE MARINES FOR WHAT THEY DO.
  5. Yes the ones with the standard Glock rail work with older holsters.
  6. This is one of the best ideas I have seen for IDPA speedloader holders. Check out this thread. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?...edloader+holder
  7. Seems like a lot of work for for what you get. For a lot less work/time/money you could have a 7 shot 686 or a 8 shot 627.
  8. What Brian said. I know a lot of people "stage" the tirgger on a DA revolver but I am don't like this. AND neither does Jerry. And when it comes to revolvers I tend to listen to Jerry. The thing he talks about the most next to watching the front sight is keep the gun running as smooth as possible.
  9. 1993 is correct. Are you sure that was a WAG?! That was flat out a lucky wag. I think maybe I should buy a lottery ticket. The only answer I had some idea about was wrong but it was Detonics and Randall.
  10. I have carried revolvers for 15 years and yes I usually have to throw out my shirts because of a hole on the right side I still hate chopping up hammers. Yep these grips fit fine.
  11. I see no reason to hack up a perfectly fine hammer when it doesn't get in my way. I have never had a problem with hammer spurs.
  12. I have not tried Buffalo Trace but I promise I will. I am open to try bourbon. And the other "radiator whiskey" now we are not talking about bourbon. I think I have have some of that from Tenn. and if I remember correctly it was pretty dang good. We have some of that that is pretty good down here in jawja.
  13. Any USPSA gun will work fine for SC. What you need to get really good is your own set of steel and a place to keep it set up to practice. SC is FLAT OUT SPEED. You need to figure out the fastest way for you to run each stage then fine tune EVERYTHING! Jerry has come very close to winning overall with his revolver so "stuff" doesn't mean as much as what you do. Look at the scores from SC and do the math. Figure out what their draws and transitions have to be to get those scores. On "Smoke and Hope" 2 years ago Jerrys average run time was 1.8. 1.8 seconds for a draw and hits on 5 different targets. Break that down and you will see, if there is ANY wasted motion you ain't winning.
  14. Mags make good (but slightly expensive) ammo dispensers for revo shooters. I have a very good friend that carries a very custom old model Blackhawk in 45 acp. When carries it he has a Wilson mag in his pocket to reload from. Let me tell you that man can reload a single action as fast as any one I know.
  15. 1) 1993 2) Detonics, Randall 3) 1987 4)Practical Shooting Beyond Fundamentals. Your own book of course. All of these answers are "wags" of course.
  16. Not yet, I know several folks that have and say its not a problem. Remember, I also enjoy shooting the BIG stuff.
  17. Eagle Secret Service grips on my 4" 625.
  18. How many times have you gone to your belt for a moon clip while shooting mini mart? And do you leave the moon clips on the shelf or do you set them all on top of the counter when you grab your gun. I always have a couple in case I drop one. I always set them so I can grab them all at one time and set them up on the counter so I don't have to reach in the box to do my reload. On mini mart I don't have any ammo on my belt or I know good and well I would load from the belt.
  19. WAY TO GO FRANCISCO!!!!!! I still don't like you but congratulations! Nemo you have a couple of fine young men there, something to be proud of for sure.
  20. Les Baer Premier 8 to 10 mags most likely Wilson Blade Tech or Kytac holster and mag pouches.
