  1. but then you resist the urge...what happens then? What keeps one to wanting one into dippin' one? I have them cravings from time to time..will they go away in time? I hope so one day. They do get better. Why I still want one I have no idea it is a sick habit. I am still addicted but I am in control of it now. Good luck.

    Lowly C

My initial revolver classification was c like 54% or something like that but in about 8 months I had raised it to b. Now I am B revolver, B limited, and C limited 10 all in a little over a year from my first USPSA match. I beat master and a's and it feels damn good.
  3. I have no suggestion for not gaining weight. Sorry. I did eat about a 5 gallon bucket worth of peppermints in the first 6 months or so. If I had gained weight it would not have mattered because it was worth it to quit dipping. It was just flat out hard but I did it. The crazy part was we were building a house, my wife was pregnant and we were living in an apartment which drove me crazy all at the same time. Maybe all of that kept me too busy to think about dipping. Just know it does get easier. You have to take control of it tho. Thats what you are really doing. You are quiting but also taking control of it. I still want one so bad sometimes even after 11 years.
  4. Yep! I quit. Cold turkey. I was motivated. My wife was pregnant with my son and the thought of him doing it scared the hell out of me. 18 years and I finished my last can and said thats it. I climbed the walls but thats what I did. And I still want one about everyday. I'm in the exact same spot. I quit a week before my youngest Son was born. I'm going into my 7th year. Congrats. Congratulations to you too. It ain't easy sometimes but worth it.

  6. This may should be under accomplishments but this is something I really like.
  7. Miranda Lambert!!!!!! She is hot she can sing and she shoots alot.
  8. Thanks for the info guys but I will drive. To much hassle to fly with guns and ammo.
  9. I am talking about getting my revolver shooting fixed. A lot of it is between my ears.
  10. I dug it out and took it to the range. I had changed both sights so it had to be sighted in which I did. Honestly I have been dry firing with it some working on changing my grip a little which seemed to feel good today. I am going to start working on getting myself fixed.
  11. Mark you're killing me limiting me to 3 but I will do my best. 1) SRV Tightrope (the best version is on his Austin City Limits DVD). 2) Ozzy Crazy Train ( which I can play all of except one little chromatic run I know what Randy is doing but I can't make my fingers do it) 3) Pantera Shattered Being limited to 3 is hard, I didn't get to list anything from Clapton, BB King, John Lee Hooker, Elmore James, ZZ Top, Red Volkaert, (figure out who he is) Bill Kerchen, ect
  12. I had a bunch of stuff typed but dumped it for this. They are all games played with a gun which makes them worth doing. USPSA/IPSC are part of the same. Most matches in the US are going to fall under USPSA rules. Don't wait, find a match and start shooting. Do some research about rules and equipment so you will be prepared but they most important part is get out and shoot. Try as all 3 if you can, find what you like and do it.
  13. Mini mart is a good one 99-21 Fluffy's Revenge I and II are also good if you have pooper to practice with. 06-04 and 06-05 El Prez of course. 99-11 If you have the plates to use Steel Challenge courses are great practice for stand and deliver stages. Triple Choice is a good one I think It has drawing and SHO and WHO. 99-47 I could list a few more but they have probably already been listed. And here is a BIG thing that has helped me, "I think?" DRYFIRE!!!!!!!! You have to nail your reloads! You have to nail your draw! I KNOW the hours and hours I have spent in my shop practicing my draws and reloads until my hand hurt and would bleed has helped. Good luck.
  14. Thats my normal time to get up. I try to sleep late on Saturday you know about 6/6:30.
  15. Wish I could, but the grass needs to be cut, oil needs to be changed, and my wife has to work today so I have to keep my son out of trouble. I do need to get down there and shoot with you guys sometime.
  16. But I made the best of it and loaded 300 rounds of ammo.
  17. +1 I hate it when people use +1 but it is proper here. Very well said my friend very well said.
  18. Griffin. They have it as last week on georgiaipsc but it was tonight. Sevigny was there and helped Glen run it.
  19. Well I will be back to be next time by golly. Maybe this thread should be moved to things I like now. I shot a 67 tonight and with the 54 that didn't get counted this time will put me back up in to the 60's.
  20. How far is the range from the airport. I have/need to be back in middle Georgia Saturday night after I shoot. I am thinking about flying up. I can make the drive but I am going to be a dead ass when I get to where I am going. Anyone know how many rounds of 40 S&W to make 11#?
  21. I wish I had been practicing with my revolver. I have not touched it since area 6 or I would shoot it instead of limited. I have changed the sights and it is not even sighted in.
  22. Nice video Sharyn, thanks. Again congratulations Cliff.
