Griswoldville will be the closest match to Dublin. As far as a place to plink I have no idea but I am sure down there you can find something. Get ready for some damn HOT HUMID summers with lots of gnats. Being able to carry is a damn good thing. I have been to Chitown a few times and really to visit there but no way could I love there.

Boz1911 don't know his geography to well, Cool Springs is maybe 30 or so minutes northwest of Macon and a very good match. Just hackin on you Boz. Griswolville is about 15 minutes northeast of Macon. In Fayetteville we have a greta weekly fun match. Griffin Gun Club has a monthly (kinda) match on Thursday nights and a great monthly Steel Challenge match. I am about 35 or so minutes north of Macon in Griffin im me, email me, and we will set you up with some place to shoot.
  3. Gosh I am so un-American. I am a revolver nut but I don't have a model 10. I do intend to change that when I can find one I like for a good price. I do have 2 mdl 19's. I do have a Win 94 AND a Marlin 94 and a AR 15. I don't have a 1911 right now or a 870. Man I have a lot of guns to buy.
  4. Nemo, your boys are 2 fine young men, I am honored to know them and you. Happy New Year to all of you.
  5. One more, I couldn't get them to load all on one post. This is a old model Ruger Blackhawk that started life asa 357 but I had it rechambered to 44 special by David Clements.
  6. This is a Ruger Bearcat John Linebaugh made convertable 22lr/22mag.
  7. My 625's. I have used both in matches but the 5" is my main match gun and the 4" is my carry gun.
  8. I have used them for year without a problem even in revolvers with light (but not as light as some) actions.
  9. That's very true! Actually it's been setup to be my new carry 1911. Pedro is a very good gunsmith but not a very good photographer, but here are some pics he e-mailed me of the process. Check out the blend job he did on the "El Cheapo" magwell I gave him in the bag-o-parts, it's one of those the hang onto the grip bushings. Also photo of the grip undercut and back of the slide blending. Stay tuned Edited because I messed it up the first time. That is a heck of a job on the magwell, I had one of those on my Springer I blended to the frame but not that much in the back.
  10. Jim Stroh at Alpha Precision I am sure could fix it. http://www.alphaprecisioninc.com/
  11. Yeah, we got beat out by an 8-rounder. Thats easy, if someone shots an 8 round revo they get bumped to open.
  12. Oh you know you can't let that gun go, so much sentimental value, one friend give you the frame, one friend did the work. :-)
  13. Yeah......not everybody is winning a new Sabre Defence rifle either. Hell......I'd bet money that Nemo will trade you straight up. Too late Merlin has already worked a deal for Nemo's gun.
  14. Dang everybody is building a 1911 but me. Very cool!.
  15. Looks like it is missing the plunger tube. Really I had to come up with something bad to say because I am damn jealous. That is very cool. I keep thinking about doing that, I know I can do it if I just set to do it. I am a machinist and I have cobbled together a few bolt rifles that turned out pretty well. There is just so many things I don't know about building a 1911.
  16. Get a 625. 25-2 have been known to have HUGE throats that can cause them to be less than accurate.
  17. More than I deserve. Nothing really for guns though except gift cards that will buy ammo. I did get a new Rubiks cube, yes I can solve it, some Converse All Stars with Sailor Jerry pin up girls on them, a chainsaw, some Carhartt shirts, some Columbia pants. And most important a happy healthy family.
  18. I think thats what they mean. You shoot all the stages in half a day. Either Sat. morning or Sat. afternoon or Sun morning. Thats the way it was this year.
  19. The battle is over - 1985 is correct. Was that a wag or did somehow google it out? Congratulations regardless! Do you own a double-stack Caspian? If not, do you know anyone who does? And, what would you like off my Combo Deal page: http://www.brianenos.com/store/combos.html Merry Christmas! be Well thank you! I looked at the other guess' and averaged it out. I really wish I had a Caspian double stack 40 it just may be time to build one. Really I will pass it along to someone. As for what I want from your combo deal page, I am simple a can on slide glide lite. Wow I can't believe I won the thing. Thanks and Merry Christmas to you and yours. Tony Boggus
  20. After the T4T match this year I will most likely shoot this match instead of area 6. I can't do both on back to back weekends and T4T was so much fun I think I will do South Carolina. The people, the stages, the whole package was great.
  21. I like the looks of this one. Fairly revolver neutral. Kind of similar to 99-61 with reloads on 2 string. Very easy to get suckered into hosing.
