LChico
No finals? Just results by stage? As the person who designed the scoring software, I'll answer this one. They are using Horner Scoring and the stages are hit factored to give all the stage points to the stage winner. Final results are meaningless at best and misleading at worst. The stage points available vary. Some divisions will be skewed because only the staff and a handful of Thursday shooters actually completed the match. If the best shooters in a division did not get to a stage, that stage win, and all the stage points, will go to someone who may not have been the stage winner in a complete match. If a leading shooter did not complete a high point stage, but his top competition on a different squad did, that also provides misleading results. Stage results will let everyone know how they did on stages they were actually able to finish, without adding up different strings of "stage points" when the match was not complete. AFH
Thanks Linda! These are some of the reasons I started not to put up any results. There is absolutely no way to compute any meaningful final results except for the ROs and the couple of shooters who shot with them. Because of several requests for scores, I decided to post what we have. Have fun looking at them, but realize that speculation beyond the facts available is an exercise in futility. BayouSlide
Anybody else having trouble pulling up the scores? you have to use Internet explorer That's always impossible for Mac people 'cause Internet Explorer hasn't been updated for the new Mac OS in years. If someone is kind enough to post the direct URLs we won't have to be dependent on the non-working (for us) links. Thanks, Andy, for posting the partial scores. I'm with Jamie: it means a lot to me, too. Curtis
kz45
Thank you Andy, all the RO's and everyone who helped make this match possible, this was my first BRM3G and it WON'T be my last, the stages weren't kind to (big guys),not complaining just stating a fact, I new it was going to be tough and loved every minute, maybe next year I'll be about 40lbs lighter, Game on then

homeyclaus
So between this and the Quantico match, I finally got around to unpacking everything, and I found a Lancer mag that had been left on BRM3G stage 4 on Saturday during the rain squall. Neither Dave nor I could see any markings on it at the time (tired, whatever), but looking at it closely, there are some very faint letters on there. So - if you lost a mag, and know the markings (letters, color, approx location), PM me with them and your address, and I'll mail it to you, or paypal you the going rate from bravocompanyusa.com or something. geezer-lock
A bunch of cowboys were discussing this match, in particular "the cave". Questions: That was a real hole in the mountain, right? Did you use your personal guns, ammo, flashlights or was some/all of it provided? What was the backstop? Rock?, dirt, man made materials? I thought Roberts "cave" at DoubleTap was dark, but the BRM3G cave was sure 'nuf dark. Thanks, David C
Doug H.
Was it a real cave in a mountain? Yes it was, and if you stepped in the wrong hole it was reported to go down a LONG way. Personal guns - Yes, Flashlight was provided on the stage. Backstop was layers of rubber mat, I think someone said conveyor belt. Darkness was total, when the lights were out you could see absolutly nothing. Probably the darkest place I have ever been. Doug
Jim Norman
Real Cave, Real Dark. Your pistol, their light. Both worked. Their Remington .22 Rifles, They mostly did NOT work. Stage was unique and I only wish I had my head cam with me when I shot the stage, That would have been great. As it is, I have the memory. I will make every attempt to go again next year, After all is can't have bad weather two years in a row can it????? Jim

Jim Norman
Thanks fellows! Jim: We keep thinking the same thing about Double Tap! David C It will depend on the schedule dates as well as a few other things, but I'd really like to do both DT and BRM3G again next year. Heck, by then maybe my back/neck will be healed and I will be able to enjoy the trips. Jim Edited May 13, 2010 by Jim Norman
